I want to laugh at this, and it pisses me off that I can't.

I mean... I sure as hell don't look forward to being sent to detention camps or worse.

Sure. But only after we build up an absurdly overwhelming force in and control all 4 territories of Australia. May take a while, but it will be worth it.

Doubt there's going to be much of a war with any country that can nuke us. Trump can't steal from Americans if Americans are all dead.

I wonder who gets to explain mutual assured destruction to Donald of Orange.

Going to war with China is like shooting yourself in the head to cure your pancreatic cancer.

War with China accomplishes nothing, war in modern times now only makes sense if you are trying to overthrow a government or take over their land.

I don't think America is equipped to fight a four-front war against Iran, Canada, Greenland, and Panama

You would be wrong.

From NPR, story on the new Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who is clearly in over his head. Of course, Trump is full of shit again:

According to Trump, the general suggested the Islamic State could be defeated in a week. "One week? I was told two years," Trump said he asked. Caine explained that the issue was that his orders come from D.C. rather than being informed by the field.

"You're the first one to ask us our opinion," Caine told Trump, as the president recalled. "So I went back and I said, 'I'm going to get back to you soon, Razin. I think you're great,'" Trump said. "I like you, Razin Caine."

Trump referred to this encounter in Iraq again at last year's CPAC. But in this retelling, Caine asserted that the Islamic State could be defeated in four weeks, not one.

Trump then recalled the general saying, "'I love you, sir. I think you're great, sir. I'll kill for you, sir.' "

Some U.S. officials who were not authorized to speak publicly, and are familiar with the exchange, say that remark never happened.

Trump also claimed that Caine wore a "Make America Great Again" hat when they first met, a story Caine has since disputed.

Meh we could use a change. I’ll let yall know how they treat us here on Hawaii before they take mainland.

All of our sunk aircraft carriers would make great reefs if the water isn't too deep. They're great for intimidating or bullying smaller nations. They're extremely vulnerable to a real deep water navy focused on submarines and supersonic missiles/torpedoes.

Iran is indeed the better bet for the kind of lengthy war that we can't lose on the battlefield that Trump needs to become president for life (short may it be). Venezuela would offer better lines of supply and would likely lead to all kinds of brushfires in our hemisphere to keep the military busy and victorious. A long war is good for our defense industry, too. Then we could justify the need to invade the weak for their precious resources.

Imperial America whose citizens are sure we're fighting for justice, freedom, and the American way. They'll have one right, anyway.

If china gets backed into a corner economically, all bets are off regarding war. They’re already having a lot of internal issues, xi wouldn’t have many options other than invade Taiwan to stay in power and keep the people from overthrowing the CCP

Nice of him to drop that on a Saturday morning when it will go unnoticed.

Unnoticed by who? The public? Everyone is aware of this because it's directly impacting people and their work. This isn't a nebulous hard to understand the follow on effects thing.

Chill, my point was that he specifically backtracked on the electronics/tech exclusion under the radar on a Saturday morning.

It will be old news and he’ll have done something else stupid and more newsworthy by Monday.  He’ll have less coverage for being a bitch about acquiescing to all the tech folks that made him exclude tech/electronics.
