I want to see some hilarious stuff. Two that always stick out to me are Adrian Peterson and Jadeveon Clowney. AD's has bunch of plays where it's obvious that no one on the defense wants any part at all of trying to tackle him. Clowney looks like a fully formed NFL DE playing against kids.

This answer will always be Leonard Davis, but good luck finding any VHS. For those that don’t know, he played MLB in 1A at 6’6” 350 lbs.

Defensively, Deoundrei Davis had some of the best linebacker footage I’ve seen. He used to hit the snot out of people. Then he came here and started stealing laptops or some stupid shit and got kicked off the team.

This is always a fun one to tell everyone's age. Noel Devine was the guy we'd put on while shooting the shit in college.

Yes. This was the other kid I was thinking about.

how about Bradley Stephen’s from the Valley?  Though I think it was discovered that they sped his film up?

Back to Vince.  We always talk about freaks but at 6’5” 225 I genuinely believe he could’ve run a 4.3 if he cared about it.  He let himself go in the pros, physically

Clowney was all upper body.   Scout told Dan Patrick before his draft that clowney was going to be a bust

I watched VY in HS like 7-8 times. Never seen anything like it before or since. Whatever film they have out there of him, that's the best.

100% this.

Jeff Demp’s high school film was similar. Both were fast AF, small/hard to identify behind the line, and extremely shifty.

Michael Williams anyone? While not on the level of most mentioned so far, his HS tape was reel after reel of hit sticks. I was positive he was destined for greatness.

Bradley Stephens film wasn’t sped up, his highlights were all of him just tanking people. But he had nothing on Mishak Rivas. Mishak went on to be an all-conference player for 2 years at Texas State before he flunked out.

He was.  Had like 7 sacks as a part time player as a true soph.  He was going to be a Von Miller like terror off the edge.  IIRC, he just quit playing over a girl breaking up with him.

This. And I think Derrick Johnson’s was similar.

My buddy and I were pretty excited about that guy.  He dubbed him "The Missilizer" because he would just explode on people and fuck them up.

There was an old youtube video that made fun of him for always trying to hurdle. At one point of the video a person says "Maybe you shouldn't hurdle so much" to which the guy playing McGuffie replied "What did you just say?"

I remember that, there was also a guy who said his position was "handoff quarterback ". The kid playing McGuffie was running around hurdling random stuff yelling "McGuffie! McGuffie!"

Casey Hampton had a ridiculous tape but it doesn’t appear to be on the internet.

He literally threw our center at our QB for a sack/fumble. I’ve told the story many times, but I’ve never seen anything like it.

Lol I'm in this video blocking for him several times

The combo of Derrick Henry highlights and senior stats is my favorite

IMG_1402.jpeg

In 8th grade, I never left the field. On defense I played what our coach called “monster back” and it was basically a strong safety spot sitting with the LBs. In reality, it meant just go tackle the ball. We played a team with a kid who was 6’2”, 240 and meaner than a junkyard dog. The trick was to charge for him as soon as the ball was snapped. I think he had something like the Henry 43/189 game. I had a headache for weeks.

This actually explains a great deal.

Played against him my sophomore and junior years.  Holy shit.  Crazy enough, Rocky Bernard gave us a little more trouble than Casey.

I think Vince probably takes this, but Kyler Murray and Russel Shepard were really fun to watch and put some crazy work on film.

I was in high school and just getting into recruiting and I remember being floored by Kevin Jones’ (VT) highlights. I was convinced he was going to be the greatest running back of all time.

Thinking back on it, I’m not sure how I even would have watched them. Would have watched them. He graduated in 2001, way before YouTube or Hudl.

WVA had some fast athletes.  White, Slaton and of course Austin

And Devine. Austin was the other one that was slipping my mind. Incredibly fun group of athletes there.
