Need to get Ruger up and going. Harrison getting hit all over

Nah, don't waste Ruger. Harrison (and our defense) fight through this. Let's not sacrifice tomorrow for what looks like an uphill fight today.

3rd base is the same black hole left field is

Honestly I’d like to see Jalin or Mendoza over there. I’ve always thought Jalin looks more like a 3rd baseman. There’s someone on the roster that can be good enough at 2nd.

We shouldn’t need Ruger to win a Sunday in this series. Need to stop the bleeding. 2 runs isn’t going to win this.

A Rod to 3rd, Borba to DH, whoever to left.

Borba has been hit and miss. He has some promise and his bat has been good enough. I get why they'd choose this lineup rather than a useless bat and largely mediocre fielding in left.  Let's get to work and make this not matter.

Agree,  Borba doesn't seem to have a position.  He looked terrible at 2nd.  Slow and can't throw, so can't play outfield.  Can't field, so can't play 3rd.

Arod was a worse 3b than borba and that’s why he’s not there now.

I don't think that is the reason at all. We want a bat that can contribute at left right now.

I'm only able to watch 1 game a week on average and today is about the 5th or 6th time I've heard the announcers mention that Mendoza played at "Southlake Carroll in Bedford, TX."

Southlake Carroll is, of course, in Southlake, TX.

Good point

It’s been said a number of times that Mendoza grew up a huge Texas fan.  Yet, he went to ASU and produced as a frosh.  Fast forward to Pierce being shown the door and Mendoza was on Bevo’s doorstep.  1 + 1 …

Bats are cold early, just like yesterday

You don't just waltz in to Mitchell Daly Stadium and expect to hit a guy who was pitching at SDSU* last year.
