Surely there are a few chode JUCO steroid monster hitters  out there who can’t play defense for shit but can at least mash a few taters. We should get one of those. And a shit ton of steroids. Imagine Volantis all juiced up like god damn Thor throwing 98 and exploding his shoulder.

A Pete Incaviglia clone, then?

I think we need someone who genuinely hates losing.  If we had someone who would spazz out for a loss and infect everyone else maybe we could talk some smack/ walk the walk/ pillage enemy townships/ take the womenz/ steal the booze.  You know kick ass and take names.

Good news, I think 99 percent of us believe we are headed in the right direction.

Today's objective, push these inbreds back into the sticks from which they were born.  Win the series.

This one feels like a game we really need to win.  I can't put my finger on it, but it just has that "we'll look back on today..." smell if the Horns drop the series to this very mediocre team.

I wonder how many knees and elbows will be hovering in the zone for our pitchers today?

Hard to go 10 weeks in this league without a series or two that will leave you shaking your head at the end, and it is typically a road series like this.

I’m certainly not throwing in the towel by any means, but we are up against it today with the state of our pitching staff behind Ruger going up against their best starter. We pushed almost all our chips in yesterday (rightfully so).

Styles make fights and Kentucky has a style that is bush league but also keeps them in pretty much any game/series. That stat yesterday about them holding a lead in all 14 conference games they’ve played despite being 6-8 was wild.

They get those lead stats because they bush it up with the HBP bs.

It is what it is regarding that.

Ruger needs a really strong outing, but even more the bats need to come alive.  Bigly.

Just reread your post and saw that we agree on the bush HBP stuff. Great minds...

We’ve got the “can’t play defense for shit” part down. Not many tater-mashers though.

Looked like he got hurt on his strikeout late in the game yesterday

Which is not good. If 2 weeks of rest doesn’t help it really makes me question what we are getting from him the rest of this season.

Is this guys fastball fucking magic? Jesus Christ we have let sure fire 88 mph meat go by.
Maybe he hides it a little with his delivery / it looks different coming from his hand but it doesn’t look like it has any movement. Strait

He has the best ERA of any starting pitcher in the SEC so I’m gonna assume it ain’t total meat.

These are shitty at bats.

Jump on the effin’ fastball.

Yep.

He starts off everything with fastballs.  We need to adjust for that and swing the sticks.

They’re told to take pitches and work counts. I doubt that changes because a guy tends to throw fastballs for strikes to start.
