Sure, I get that. But you can't fix lazy, atrocious defense in a hotel lobby.

And how did the Wolves manage that?  Credit the Lakers defense.

Yep. Called it during the game.

I like how they are acting like Minny is having some crazy, unsubstantiated night from 3.

LA isn't defending fucking anything. All of these looks are in rhythm without disruption.

They obviously won the Luka trade but I wasn't sold on them this season because I thought their perimeter D and rim protection was going to be ass. It's looking like it here.

Biggest home playoff loss for LA since 2013 when they got swept in the first round by the Spurs.

Not when it’s the home team that gets its doors absolutely blown off.

I've seen too much shit to declare them dead, as much as I'd like to.

Also get ready for all the shouty shows to focus on this series instead of talking about the games that were close.

Why are there 3 days off between games when no travel is involved?  Stupid.

Because you lose the early afternoon TV windows during the week. So you can get in 4 games on a Saturday and 4 on a Sunday, but only 2 on Monday and 3 on Tuesday (with NBATV). So some teams get extra days off

Oh for sure. It’s gonna take up 97 percent of the coverage.

And SGA is just 1-6.

I'll stick with my prediction that OKC loses no more than three games on their way to the FInals.

After the way LAC played yesterday I don't see the 4/5 taking more than a game off of them.

Minny looks like their only threat (granted it's very early - we'll see what develops).

OKC/Cavs Finals would be very fun.

I don't know about 3 games, but I doubt anyone gives them much opposition. Too much talented depth. Setting the all time point differential record for a season wasn't an accident.

Every time I’ve tuned into a Thunder game this year they’ve been up 15 or more. I know Memphis isn’t that good but this is crazy impressive to start the playoffs.

I'll be pleasantly surprised, maybe shocked, if the Cavs make it.  They've been playing too mediocre-ly over the past 6 weeks for me to feel confident.

If/when the Cavs lose in the playoffs, it'll be because one or both of the two issues that have reared their ugly head for the Cavs over this period:

3 point shooting (particularly from Garland/Mitchell)

Defensive rebounding

It's going to hinge on Shai, imo. If he matches what a Jokic or Ant or Tatum gives him you can schedule the parade now.

But I'm not sure he does that. Still a pretty inexperienced star.

Granted, they don't necessarily need him to do that.

I'm not leaning Cavs right now, either - just saying it would be a fun matchup.

Think the East is sneaky deep. Whoever wins the 3/6 and 4/5s aren't going to be pushovers.

Spurs were total morons (and made a ton of bad decisions after) for letting Presti go.
