Wouldn’t surprise me one fucking bit to watch either Dallas or Colorado choke next round.

Colorado or Dallas might "choke" to the President's trophy winner is the Vertuzziest of takes.   Never change.

Hey Dallas cunt, both the Stars and Avs would be favored over the Jets.

Battle of Florida is already more interesting than this Avs/Stars series. Just watching Rantanen skate around doing absolutely nothing, about to get paid $12MM is fucking hilarious. Typical Dallas move to overpay an overrated “star”.

Never stop douching.

Aren’t you that fat fuck that I triggered last year during the NBA finals because I was chirping Kyrie? I really enjoyed kicking the shit out of your irrelevant ass team and city. Bunch of fucking fake ass cowboys in their shiny ass F-350s. Boring ass city full of fat fucks.

You didn't trigger anyone.  You are the Helobious of playoff threads.  We all laugh at you.   The caricature of the Boston douche we've all made fun of for the last 20+ years.  Back to hockey.

I do recall you being pretty sensitive about me chirping that wannabe hippy flat earth douche. Glad the Celtics got rid of that mental case. He’s your fucking problem now, though I suppose you have much bigger shit to deal with now. Celtics are cruising through the playoffs yet again while your shithole team is sitting their ass in Plano or Garland or some other north Texas dump city.

Lol, a lopsided series where the winning side has outscored the other 8-2 is more interesting than a close series between two contenders? Ok, man. The battle of Florida is little more than a slap fight so far

THIS is the playoff Helle I'm used to. Blues win next 3.

Chill, lol. The Jets have shown good resilience and depth this season. The Blues are playing on pure meth energy. I don't know what it is about Monty and his first 100 or so games with a team, but he gets everything out of everyone. Also it was the first home game in stl in a while. And factor in Fowler had a crazy night (jealous STL got him, was hoping the stars would), it amounts to a desperate and focused win by STL. Props to them.

Jets will win this series by pure talent, just remains to be seen how many games it takes

I'm probably too much into advanced stats in regular season + how damn good the Jets looked live a couple of weeks back, but they remain my pick.  I'm personally rooting for the Blues to take it at least 6 in case the Stars advance so the Jets aren't too rested and have to travel back to St. Louis, but agreed, I would be shocked if Jets blow this series.  Minn on the other hand my have something.  Obviously the Knights are more talented than the Wild as well but Wild are healthy and playing well.   I can't stand either team but considering Mark Stone tried to single handedly ruin the Stars season, I hope Minn takes them out.

Good story lines today:

FLA/TBL - Ekblad returns to an already rolling Panthers team. Can TBL make this a series?

VGK/MIN - Will Vegas even it up or will MIN continue to surprise?

TOR/OTT - Can OTT survive?

DAL/COL - Will the Avs tie the series or will the Stars put them on the brink?

Avs looked as good a they have all season yesterday. Getting Landy back (and him being effective) is huge. This series might be 2-2, but the Stars have only led for 62 seconds in 4 games. I'm liking the Avs chances about now.

Oh my. I don't think we'll ever see this again. No, not every series until the end of time.

Tom Wilson arguably won the game tonight with his hit in the third period. He’s had a hell of a season and Caps have a chance to clinch

First 3 games were all played pretty even but Avs completely dominated game 4.  Guess we'll see tonight whether that was more the Avs playing desperate and Stars happy to get a split or a sign of Avs playing to potential and Stars reverting to what lost a lot of games down the stretch without Miro.   Obviously Miro a big wild card.  He's probably either back tonight or Thursday but obviously TBD how healthy/effective he can be with that long of a layoff.  I'll be there tonight and really no idea what to expect.

BTW -  want to revisit your "Makar doesn't embellish" take after feeling contact and flailing across the ice throwing his stick 10 feet to draw that PP in the 1st?  LOL.  That was pathetic/hilarious.

yeah, I let that one go the first time because it's a ridiculous statement. Kinda like the other night when Hagel blasted Barkov and got a 1-games suspension. Paul Maurice was on record saying something to the effect of "we only hit players with the puck." Next game Tkachuk levels someone - without the puck - and gets a 5-minute major, but no suspension. Point is, you can claim whatever you want, it doesn't make it reality. Makar is no goon, but he sure as shit sells calls.

The reality is if you are aware enough in the moment to process that it's Marchment trying to sneak in a cheap shot, as long as you sell it, you are going to get the benefit of the doubt and Makar sure as hell did. If the roles are reversed on that play it's a no call or a Marchment embellishment only.  Marchment has put himself in a shitty situation doing borderline crap all season and now costing him/Stars in the playoffs.

I haven't gotten to watch much of the Jets/Blues and knew Hellebuyck has been bad but just saw has given up 15 goals against with 8 expected goals against for a -7 and worst goalie in the playoffs.  Wow.  To nobody's surprise Blackwood leads all goaltenders with 7 goals against with 13.65 expected.

Miro's out for tonight.

As for Makar, show me a clip and I'll give you my opinion.  I was playing in a poker tournament during the game so I didn't see everything.

I don't know how to imbed shit but search Makar embellishment and it's out there.  To be clear, he got hit (stupid play by Marchment) but sold the hell out of it.    Yes, I saw Miro is out.  Not really surprising but disappointing.  As soon as I saw series schedule I thought game 6 was probably the target based on where reports had him at end of regular season, but hope he's not further off than we think considering magnitude of the game tonight.
