In terms of territory up for grabs next week, its actually the Illinois- Penn State game that will end up with the largest merger of the week.

Georgia-Bama will obviously be a massive game, but not as much actual land up for grabs in that one.

a few other merger games, a lot of teams just need to hold serve this week.

Don't count out the wandering Boise State marauders conquering the Grand Wazzu Empire, including its Alaska colony, this weekend.

Oh, I like the updates. But this is a moment in the season where that map really does look like one big pile of shit to me.

Ah, apologies, I mistook your messaging. Agreed that we still need a few weeks of land consolidation for geographic continuity.

I stumbled across an Instagram account that does a weekly imperialism-style map that shows current undefeated teams. Account is called thronespud.

The map is two images wide - I have no idea how to convert that to a single screenshot. Any of you more tech savvy types want to give it a shot?

What are the rules behind this map? Say Kentucky beats Ole Miss. Then what?

I'm guessing you just expand proportionately whenever a neighbor loses. So if BYU and UNLV lose, there'd be more burnt orange to the west. But what happens if everyone loses at least one game?

I will never understand how this shit is supposed to work, nor do I get the appeal.  Win every fucking game.

The rules are literally in the lower right hand corner.

No land up for grabs for us this week. But if we can beat Georgia, things will get interesting in the back half of our schedule.

As far as I can tell, Vanderbilt and Arkansas are the only teams left on the schedule that own any land.
