Looked like he cut his hand and touched his face after, making it look like his nose was bleeding too. People are saying it was a shoulder injury but I didn’t notice that at all. Would be shocked if he’s not in by the next drive.

Im shocked. Regardless he won’t be out for long, the refs are the ones that made him leave and aside from the blood he didn’t look hurt at all.

Well he’s not. Does the ncaa require cuts on hands to be cleaned up?  Probably so. Assuming so, I bet they’re trying to figure out how to stitch and cover and allow him to throw. But, we are fucked until he’s back.

I hope all those Shane-lovers get proven right the next few hours.

you must be a CR'er with this binary tribalism.  it was proven over sam and shane's first 300 in-game attempts that shane is a better thrower, though far more fragile, and sam is a tougher player and better runner.

in the first 3 games this season, sam's throwing was suspect.  it was 57%.  hence some people wanted to see if shane could improve the play under the better protection.

this isnt hatfields vs mccoys or montagues vs capulets

He’s definitely not concussed given the headset. Most likely scenario is that his shoulder/hand is dinged up slightly. He could come back in to play but UT could put a walk-on back there and still beat Baylor by 2 scores. May as well sit him the rest of the game & give him the bye week to recover too.

With all due respect, you’re a fucking moron. Shane isn’t improving the stellar QB play.

with no respect, are you dense?

nobody's criticized sam's recent play.  his critiques came off his shoddy first 3 games of the season.  maybe you need a refresher of how he did in his first 2 series vs maryland to make a comparison.

We need to abandon the zone read and run the ball out of a normal formation.  The know Shane isn’t running the ball or at least not running it well.

Yeah OR just put in a competent QB. Rising and Thompson are probably ready.

If it was separated wouldn’t they reset it? If they reset it why put his pads back on? Probably talking out my ass here.

You’re not. If it was separated they would’ve known during that long evaluation period, reset it, and the pads would be off, particularly with a throwing shoulder. It’s not separated.

Nor it is it Simms vs Applewhite.

This team''s success depends on Sam''s health. I appreciate having Shane as a backup, but it isn't enough to maintain our season.

I don’t appreciate him as a backup. He was incompetent for large stretches today. The faster he transfers and the staff doesn’t have him at our disposal, the better. We need someone capable of running Herman’s O and he is most certainly not it. He shouldn’t be the backup. He nearly cost us the game today.
