Ok I’m a dumbfuck and refuse to believe we’re that bad. But:

-Defense was solid outside the gimmick plays. Admittedly there were a lot of gimmick plays. And too many penalties.

-Anderson was great at LT

-Our receivers were mostly fine. Need to get CJ9 the ball more

-Tre Watson was a spark. His fumble was extremely questionable

-We didn’t see Gary J and Wheeler play together.

-When Sam pulled the ball on the zone read, he ran it well.

-Mostly tackled well outside of a few plays

Anything else?

Pass pro was much better than last year... still can't run block for shit.

The coaches have all week to scheme around the drop 8 with 1 spy on Ehlinger defense... right?

I'm sure we will play better games, maybe even some flat good ones that defy the odds against better and better-coached teams.

However, by being an arrogant dumbass two years running in the season opener, Tommy Boy has shown that he has as much work to do as any player or unit.  And so I wouldn't expect a massive improvement from 7-6.

Only about 7 teams left on our schedule are significantly better than Maryland.  So I'm optimistic that we can win 4 to 6 games this season.  And that's not bad for a baseball school.

We showed flashes of decency.

But some good things may come this season. I predicted a one game improvement over last season and that might still happen. But very little of anything positive can be taken away from this debacle. 3 turnovers late in the game tells em we are still going to blow close games consistently. That is what needed to change this season. It still might but there is no optimism that it will that can be taken away from this game.

There are an i numerals amount of things that can be improved upon...so I guess they can only get better?

i hope so, because playing like they did today just won’t get it done

Really?

The defense was only decent when Maryland got conservative.

The receivers lol I am not putting it on them but they were not running free.

Tre Watson yeah ok if our coaches had any clue how to use him.

Anderson I have no clue but hell it was Maryland

Sam it don’t really matter how well he runs the zone read or whatever when he keeps missing passes and throwing interceptions.

i saw nothing positive in this game.

I am pissed that the coaches sunshine pump us full of great expectations with their over 100 years of coaching experience and then trott out a fucked up simple simon offense.

Herman better grow some fucking balls and man the fuck up or he will end up in a corner sucking his thumb and crying.

Call it like it is if it’s shit call it shit.

if it’s good then call it good.

Rant over

FedEx took credit cards so I didn't burn my cash on alcohol.

I found a place that sold some alcohol during the rain delay.

Other than that, I don't know what the positives were.  That was really, really bad.

Yes there is room for optimism!  Did you see how happy that Maryland team was at the end of the game?  We bring so much happiness to other teams and their fans.  We are literally the Santa Claus of college football.

I didn't blow hundreds of dollars to watch the abortion in person.

You know—that’s the real upside for me. I just don’t really care anymore. We lost. Don’t care. I went about my day.

It’s for the best.

It looked bad on TV.  Was it as bad in person?  I thought they were going to blow us out of the stadium mid-second quarter.  Holding them to an FG at 17-7 seemed like a victory.  Then they went up 24-7 and it looked over.

Then suddenly we looked good until halftime.  What happened?  Was it all the uptempo?

The team the last decade has really beaten my passion down too. And yet I’m still gonna show up to the home opener next week.

This. It was a disappointing season. Glad it's over.

This is the right answer.

If we're talking random people, yes. If I get to pick specific ones, set me up in the War Room, because I've got a few names.
