Talks happening for a home and home involving Texas and Bama

Read that negotiations are ongoing between the Texas and Bama for a home and home series. These kinds of games would be great for CFB. It would also pit two of my favorite teams against one another.

Yep.  That would be amazing, and interestingly enough, a marquee home-and-home where I would have almost zero interest in making the road trip.  Columbus, South Bend, Pasadena, sure.  Tuscaloosa?  Er, maybe not so much.

Great idea.....hope it's not relegated to Fox at 11am

Also the key statement, "home and home" is an important one....we can only hope

It would be good to get this scheduled before 'Bama comes back to earth (post-Saban, pre-Dabo) and while we are "hopefully" coming back to football life.....

I'm all for these and especially if they are home and home.

I would hate this to be at Jerryworld or any neutral site.

Fuck neutral site games. They take away so much of what makes college football great (besides the game itself).

Big name opponents in the future:

2018: USC

2019: LSU

2020: @LSU

2021: @Arkansas

2022: Ohio State

2023: @Ohio State

2024: @Michigan

2025: None

2026: None

2027: Michigan

You can see our full planned OOC slate here: http://www.fbschedules.com/ncaa/big-12/texas-longhorns.php

Alabama is open from 2022 onward, so 2025-26 would work nicely.

Fuck Bama

And their BBQ sucks

Was not impressed by Dreamland, but the ribs at Archibald's were pretty damn good.

I was also not impressed by Dreamland.

They are famous for ribs, but it was like 90s style BBQ aka cheap and shitty.

With one obvious exception.

Place went down hill when the original owner (Big John Bishop) died. His kids made it a franchise and fucked it up.

New Orleans could be fun, though!   Generally speaking, I agree.  We need them here and there.

So that 2021 @ Arkansas is the return game for 2008? That's insane. It was originally scheduled for 2014 and they pushed it another 7 years. I don't think I've ever seen a 13 year split between games like that.

Texas-OU is more of a home game for both teams because it's always in the Cotton Bowl and the fans never switch sides.

By the time we get to 2021, Fayetteville may have progressed to 1977.

Would be awesome but I just don't believe Bama is interested in a home and home with a major team outside of SEC country.  Hope I'm wrong but they know how to build in advantages through scheduling.
