Fuck this piece of shit dumb ass and all of this performative bullshit. He is going to try and destroy what makes the service academies so great. "More lethality" my ass. I recently sat in a briefing on some of the recent academic accomplishments at USNA and I left impressed.

I can't imagine that there are many Academy grads that are for this move.

A religious based military?

Fuck. That.

Dumb fuck doesn’t realize that the lower ranks only care about getting paid and getting laid. They are gonna be pissed off to hear from some no- tab major who’s been married three times about their moral failings.

It tracks. They’re having religious services over there from what I’ve heard

If you captioned everything Hegseth says in Farsi, it's indistinguishable from the IRGC.

We, in America, are militarily led by religious extremists.

I turned 48 last Friday, and my friends wrote down a list of people that, “If I could have a birthday present, who would I want to fight”. It started in order from Trump, Vance, Miller, Hegseth, Rubio, Cruz, Paxton, etc.
Then, after eating some mushrooms, I changed the list to “Everyone at once”, because I had thought deeply about how I would win the fight.
Unfortunately, I can’t recall my layout of how it would go down, but the majority of my friends were on board with my tactics in achieving a solid victory.
Fuck, I wish they’d recorded it, because it actually worked.

Edited because Abbot was involved, and his wheelchair came into play in the free for all.

Would Freebird be playing? That automatically gives you some dexterity and strength, probably some stamina as well.

When you do it for ideological reasons to ensure that you have only senior officers who are loyal to the regime over the Constitution and their oath, it's called a "purge."

The authoritarian regime is purging the military of all officers who might resist or refuse their orders to turn their arms against the American people. There, cleared it up for you.

I saw Adm. McRaven speak at a local church two weeks ago. He was tactful, but discussed the problem of leadership saying what is politically expedient or agreeable up the chain of command versus the truth. He was clearly unhappy with the situation.

We are Russia in this shit sandwich but with a side of religious zealotry that is unmatched.

She was not at Annapolis but the Navy War College.

I keep waiting to hear this guy has been fired, but he continues to wreck shop. He has failed spectacularly so far. Trump usually cuts those guys loose once they embarrass him. I don't get it.

I was thinking about this the other day. Barry Goldwater and couple of other Republicans went to the White House to tell Nixon he was done. This generation's Republican leadership is knee dip in the shit with Trump and willingly helping.

GOP loves the troops so, so much.

Soldiers wounded in Iran say Pentagon made them fend for themselves The New Republic

In the early hours of President Donald Trump’s military campaign against Iran, Tehran targeted a makeshift tactical operations center in Kuwait, killing six U.S. military personnel and injuring more than 30 others. Not only did the Department of Defense fail to provide the personnel stationed there with the necessary tools to defend themselves, but multiple servicemembers who were injured in the attack say their government also neglected them in the aftermath.

The Associated Press spoke to a group of nine servicemembers who all claim that the U.S. military’s medical system failed them after they were injured in the deadly attack on March 1.

Army Lieutenant Colonel Arturo Lincón, a veteran of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, suffered extensive injuries from shrapnel, including to his left vertebral artery, which put him at risk for a stroke. However, his injuries were not considered serious enough to get him admitted to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany. Instead, he was dismissed to the Army barracks and instructed to schedule outpatient appointments.

“I was just kind of on my own, at least it felt like that,” Lincón told the AP. He underwent weeks of specialized outpatient care at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Washington. Months later, he is still struggling to receive Traumatic Injury benefits under the Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance.

Another servicemember, Major Stephen Ramsbottom, said he waited over four months to receive MRI results after he had shrapnel removed from his head. “I’ve had to build my own case for everything,” Ramsbottom told the outlet. “It’s very frustrating.”

While some of the most injured servicemembers were evacuated within two days of the attack, others weren’t so lucky.

One group was not evacuated out of Kuwait for 10 days after the attack, including Chief Warrant Officer 4 Rodney Bearman, who had shrapnel embedded in his face and legs. When the soldiers were eventually evacuated, they were strapped to the floor of a cargo plane and taken to Germany. When the group arrived, Bearman said he learned that the military had not documented them as wounded in combat, so they would not receive medical treatment at Landstuhl. Bearman told the AP they were not documented as wounded in combat due to a coding error.

“Never did I think that if I was wounded that these things would happen,” said Bearman. “Some sacred trust that I thought would never be broken was broken.”

The military also failed to provide timely evaluations of the soldiers. Some soldiers told AP they they only learned they had Traumatic Brain Injuries after they returned back to the United States. Many of the troops who spoke to AP did not know the severity of their own TBIs.

“It’s disappointing but not surprising,” said Dr. James Kelly, chief medical scientist at the Invisible Wounds Foundation, a group that studies brain injuries in the military. “In a war scenario, it goes on a fair bit.”

It seems that the Department of Defense’s failing medical system is the system working as it was designed: the Pentagon has shuttered large military hospitals in the Middle East and regularly redeploy troops after they receive a mild TBI diagnosis.

The Pentagon downplayed the severity of the retaliatory strike, and U.S. Central Command that only five servicemembers had been seriously wounded. The day after it happened, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called the deadly strike in Kuwait “a squirter,” and later complained that reporting on the troops killed was a ploy to make the president look bad.

CENTCOM Update

TAMPA, Fla. – As of 9:30 am ET, March 1, three U.S. service members have been killed in action and five are seriously wounded as part of Operation Epic Fury.

Several others sustained minor shrapnel injuries and concussions — and are in the process of being
