Take it away my good friend Kid Rock! (HBO reminds me it’s the 10 year anny or something)

I've never laughed so hard at a scene in my life.

Also that show started in 2014, so not sure where HBO is mathing their math from.

Yep, the masturbation calculations was such a young guy sequence.

I couldn't stop laughing at this:

I'm still laughing now.

It should have ended after about Season 4, Season 5 was stretched and Season 6 phoned it in.

All in it was a great series, and of course seasons 1 and 2 are all timers.

My personal favorite scene, because it sums up ZIRP/SV/BRO economics just about perfectly

Didnt that guy turn out to be a rapist or some kind of sex predator.

He was #metoo 'ed once with a not terribly credible allegation.

He's had some other problematic behavior relating to either a substance abuse problem or brain injury or both.

He seems to be blacklisted.

He went against Ryan Reynolds I think (he was a two-bit costar in the first Deadpool) and he got drunk and phoned in a bomb threat that got everyone upset. Those alone wouldn't have been insurmountable except that he verified via his Netflix comedy special, to anyone who cared to watch, that he is strikingly and aggressively unfunny left to his own devices.

I haven't watched full episodes in forever but I could watch Youtube compilations like the "Best of Jian Yang" all day. I also thought they did a pretty good finale showing where the group ended up 10 years later, which was still as dysfunctional as ever. Silicon Valley was so much better than Entourage.

Ahhhhhhh..... Back when HBO made great original television shows.

It's Not TV. It's HBO. 2000 Commercial - YouTube

Entourage is a show about douchebags for douchebags. Dillon and Piven are the only redeeming qualities.

Probably the funniest scene of TV I've ever watched.  Even funnier when you find out that they had the Stanford math department involved so all the math on the whiteboard was accurate.

Only other scene I can think of that is close is Bob Einstein telling Jerry his joke on Curb.

I would also accept Garrity realizing why his dick was orange after a thorough inspection by his entire firehouse in Rescue Me.

Your cunt is in the sink!
And Jerry's reaction was real. He had not heard the joke prior to that.

Binged seasons 1 and 2 over the weekend.

I strongly recommend it.

What happened to this cast?

TJ something or another went on to do the emoji movie and completely flame out by being unfunny in comedy specials and making enemies of people like ryan reynolds. check.

Richard, who was perfectly cast as a creepy weirdo, turns out to be a creepy orgy-guy weirdo polyamorous guy in real life. check.

Jared who everyone loved was never seen again. check?

Gilfoyle who was my favorite earns just enough from his 5 minutes of cameo acting on the very successful tom holland spiderman movies to maintain a 1/1 in NYC. sad.

Dinesh spent $250k in Hollywood personal trainer hours to sculpt his body and get fit, starred in the worst MCU movie ever, but also got some more interest as an interesting and funny brown actor, but is probably big time in Pakistand and Udder Pradesh. check.

Jin Yang gets some funny specials out of this, and we come to find out he is LARPing as a Chinese guy because his name is Jimmy and he speaks english with a better American accent than I do. check.

Thomas Middleditch is everywhere doing voice acting for several successful animations like Rick and Morty, Bobs Burgers, Solar Opposites, and others.

TJ Miller was legit cancelled and lost his marbles.

Zach Woods gets steady work but hasn't starred on his own account, I'd still call him a successful working actor.

Martin Starr is similar, shows up plenty, still successful working actor.

Kimail Nanjiani, you might not like his work on MCU and other movies, but he's been very successful.

Jian Yang is still pretty successful in stand up comedy, not sure what else he does, but I know I've seen him on things from time to time.

Miller was the only one that maybe could have broken out as an actor, and he blew that. The rest were great in their roles, but were not ever going to be breakout stars. They are doing what they were always going to do. The show was hilarious but I don't think it was ever a mainstream thing to produce a bunch of stars. Woods is way more known for his role in The Office than this.

which was essentially the same role so he's got a typecasting problem for sure.

He starred in a show on Hulu called Interior Chinatown. It was kind of weird, but I enjoyed it. The premise is basically that he doesn't know his world is a police drama and he discovers he is a background character in it.

Woods was good in How to Make a Killing, the Glenn Powell/Margaret Qualley movie that's just out and was actually pretty good but was dumped by the studio and predictably bombed.

Middleditch was in a Chuck Lorre CBS sitcom that I watched one or two episodes of before realizing it was just another Chuck Lorre CBS sitcom.

Didn't they find he had a brain tumor or something like that? Met him a couple years after all that in Las Vegas. We both left with a chunk of El Cortez dough.

I don't watch any thomas middleditch cartoons, i'll take your word for it that he's succesful and having a fantastic voice acting career is the modern day mark hammel.

Martin Starr showing up plenty again just shows we live in two different media worlds. To be fair, I don't watch much non-prestige TV.

So, I’ve kept on and the deterioration in quality of this series as seasons progress is stunning. I had forgotten how bad it gets. I’m not going to make it to the end. Season 4 was a shadow of first 3, 5 is dreadful. What a shame.

If for several years you've been on the same call sheet as Sylvester Stallone you're doing pretty fucking well as an actor.

I gotta think Kumail Nanjiani is easily the most successful post Silicon Valley. Oscar, Emmy, and Golden Globe nominations. It feels like he's in half a dozen movies or shows every year...

We must watch different shows. I can't recall him in hardly anything.
