Crowdsourcing to influence senate votes

Interesting new idea to influence politicians.  In this case, there is a request to fund Susan Collins’ unknown 2020 opponent IF she votes for Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

its almost the reverse of a bribe but it’s not a bribe because Collins gets zero funds no matter how she votes.  But if she votes for Kavanaugh, her future opponent gets $1.3m.   This could easily be expanded.   And the only $ limits are on the individual limits not the overall fund.

Btw, Collins isn’t happy about this.

I fucking love it.

Senators have long-since demonstrated that positive reinforcement only encourages their bad behavior.

Time to beat them into submission.

Susan Collins has been a huge disappointment throughout the Trump Administration.
She shouldn’t be re-elected regardless

She's up in 2020.
Something tells me she might not run.

Collins is gonna retire

Then give the money to the Dem nominee to use against the GOP nominee to replace her.

If the GOP wants to go lockstep to fuck we the people, then we should defeat them in lockstep.

If you want to take money completely out of politics (ha), then I can agree that this is something to be concerned about.

But as long as big PACs are still throwing their money around, then average citizen crowdsourcing is not only okay, but long overdue.

Yeah, actually, this is kind of the flip side of Citizens United.  Pretty much has to be legal and nearly untouchable.
