The GQP: Trumpist Death Cult

Let's be honest.  There simply are no principles at ALL in the Republican party currently.  Well that's not totally true, take care of rich people so they can secretly support Republican causes with no reprecussions for the wealthy scumbaggery.  Past that?  No prinicples at all.

I have no doubt whatsover that the vast majority of elected Republicans would embrace a War started for only one reason, GOP political gain.  That's not something I ever would have said in the past, but it's a crystalization of where the GOP stands from a moral perspective today.

dude, if you took that i take him seriously or that he "got under my skin" from my observing and noting the particularly inferior quality of his trolling efforts, then you are as much a simpleton as he is.  good grief.

His misuse of "anymore" in the above statement is the most offensive thing he's said all day.

Just out of curiosity, where did you grow up? Somewhere in the Midwest? I promise not to attack you. I'm genuinely curious.

Others on this board can probably vouch for me being a bit of a linguistics/dialect geek. For example, I posted a thread on the other site about an American dialect quiz that was quite popular for a little while. It's just an interest I've got, having majored in French, minored in German, and very briefly started to get my masters in linguistics years ago.

Off topic, I know. I just think it's fascinating.

So, let me get this straight, Nunes is suing over attacks that were "preplanned, calculated, orchestrated and undertaken by multiple individuals?" That's illegal now?

Well, hell, that's another charge that can be placed on Trump, half the Republicans, and Fox News over the whole "born in Kenya" bullshit. And that one wasn't even true!

I'm not the one responding to trolls. You're not accomplishing what you think you are. You're just getting trolled and the troll is winning. Something to consider.

U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt has been disinvited from a local GOP gathering in Christian County, Missouri, next month amid a backlash over his vote to block President Donald Trump’s use of emergency powers to build a border wall.

The senior GOP senator from Missouri was one of 12 Republicans who joined Democrats in voting against Trump’s national emergency declaration, a move that has sparked anger within the president’s base. As a Republican sharing the ballot with Trump in 2016, Blunt squeaked out a narrow 3-point win on Trump’s coattails.

His vote on Thursday angered ardent Trump supporters across Missouri, who saw it as a betrayal.

“I am so disappointed in you now that I can hardly speak,” wrote Wanda Martens, a member of the Christian County Republican Central Committee, in an email to Blunt’s office. “Why could you not support my president in the emergency declaration? President Trump tried every available means to work the Senate to resolve the border issue and build the much needed wall. He is well within his presidential powers to do this.”

Reminder that Texas gets 1 electoral college vote per 755,312 citizens and Vermont gets 1 per 208,766. One person, one vote my ass. I don't think the Framers could've envisioned the population disparities that would exist between the states back when 90% of the population lived on farms.

(I intentionally reversed the typical big state Dem versus small state GOP example to illustrate the ridiculously slanted advantage that rural states get.)

Well, you see, the Framers could have never predicted the hundreds of millions of brown folks that invaded this country thanks to Democratic policies, along with the hundreds of millions that would be imported from Africa by those Godless Democrats of that time.

The interesting thing about the Nunes suit is the shadowbanning angle. I’m sure Twitter doesn’t want to go into detail about how they do that stuff.

And hey, Andrew Yang is ok with the Electoral College.

Expand

Yeah super interesting. Probably a clear cut first Amendment violation by Twitter there. Nunes should up his demand to 250 Billion.

You guys are hilarious. Maybe you should sue surly for allegedly shadow banning you. Ask for 750 million, just to start.
