Actually, probably most of us do not believe racism is inherent to our system.

Back the fuck up. Tell your friends that. I already know that our system isn't racist or I wouldn't be where I am today.

I suspect that most of us believe that American racism is exogenous and perpetrated and perpetuated by groups of individuals.

I agree wholeheartedly. In my experience, mostly from left-leaning. Couldn't tell you how many southern Democrats I've heard drop N bombs growing up

Whether racism is inherent to the United States of America, or exogenous, there remains a shit load of it, which you are proving on an individual basis.

Please point to one racist thing I've said. Just one. I'm biracial with an adopted biracial child. Please tell me how I am a racist. Please.

Nope. Both parents deceased. Though I'll be the first to admit my mom couldn't drive for shit. Daddy drove an 18 wheeler OTR for many years. He could drive with one hand and roll a spliff with the other.

How can we reliably compare two entirely different civilizations where one has a predominantly white populace that had their guns taken away 100 years ago and a population as diverse as ours where guns are bountiful. How do you think the per capita on gun crime couldn't be skewed? Did you forget that that's where that point of contention began?

so it seems perhaps you have come full circle.

first, i am glad that you are no longer saying that the data is skewed because of quantum of population differences. that is encouraging.

i believe this whole thing started with you professing your erotic commitment to our country's fetish with pew pews. someone made the point that this cultural phenomenon has led to insanely exacerbated violence perpetrated on the united states population at the hands of firearms relative to other civilized countries in the world.

you then said hey, there's violence in other places as well, look at the u.k. and their stabbings.

then we had a long tangent on statistics and per capita and population and white people and a whole bunch of other complete and utter bullshit.

and now, it seems, that you are saying that we can't compare the united states violence due to firearms to other civilized countries because we have a culture that loves firearms and the other countries do not.

now, i am no tolerant genius like yourself...but perhaps you could go ahead and make that last connection between those last two dots that bring it full circle.

in case you can't, it would seem that you agree that our country's fetish with guns has created a unique, some might say even difficult to compare, environment with overwhelmingly tragic outcomes relative to the rest of western civilization and that it is your argument that it is SO UNIQUE, in fact, that it is not even reasonable to compare our culture with others.

good talk.

Ohhhhhh gotta take a shot at the LGBTQ+ community. Never saw that coming. Bi-racial, totally tolerant and just spouting the facts, totally not racist! Signing off!

Fuck you. You are a garbage human that will figure out all too late when the leopards are eating your face.

You'll have to forgive me. I am a fervent believer in the second amendment and I find it alarming that so many illiterate people cannot understand the words Shall Not Be Infringed. If you're concerned with weapons, go to the UK. They don't have guns. But, what they do have is an alarming number of stabbings and bludgeonings. Humans will kill and maim in any manner possible. Let's not make it harder for good people to defend themselves from those that would seek to do them harm.

Remind me what words come before “Shall Not Be Infringed”.

You intentionally minimalizing the massive distinction between 25% less whites is...well, expected. You claim data is your friend yet you are only proving that the whiter the country the lesser the crime statistics. I don't want a white country. But, it appears you do.

This, and your several related statements, are pretty fucking racist, whether you recognize that or not.

You try to rely on data to show that more white = less crime.  There are a variety of explanations why countries with different demographics have differing crime rates.  And which explanation is correct, or which of several is correct, is unknowable and unprovable. But you clearly choose to believe that it is the proportion of white people, or, conversely, black people that dictates a higher crime rates.

I'm getting caught up, so this may have already been addressed. This poster's rhetoric is about Swam's level of persistent and abject stupidity, which hasn't been seen around these parts in quite a while.

Again, you are intentionally discrediting that there is a massive population difference between those three countries. You also seem to refuse to admit that the countries you want to cherry pick are predominantly white.

Quick glance says there are at least eight American CITIES with higher populations than Germany. Cities, my boy. Not states. When you have a dense population of humans you inherently have more crime. I believe the Bible even makes mention of that somewhere.

Also, most of those cities I alluded to are the highest contributors to crime statistics in the US and the majority of them are Democrat controlled. Shocking.

Still getting caught up but this needs to be addressed. Maybe it already has down-thread.

Germany's population is more than 80 million. No fucking city in the US has that many people. Hell, California (our most populous state) has less than half that number of people.

Clarence Thomas, in the SCOTUS Bruen decision, LITERALLY said that in considering gun regulations, we can ONLY consider gun regulations that were in place/within the "historical tradition" of the time of the adoption of the 2nd amendment.

And then he didn’t do that, but that’s another issue.

I'll be voting for Trump on November 5. Along with many, many others who are tired of being accused of being racist bigots simply because of their political beliefs.

I'll be voting against Trump on November 5th because of about 85% of this:

Project 2025 envisions widespread changes to economic and social policies and the federal government and its agencies. The plan proposes taking partisan control of the Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Department of Commerce, Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and Federal Trade Commission (FTC), dismantling the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and reducing environmental and climate change regulations to favor fossil fuels.[16][19] The blueprint seeks to institute tax cuts,[20] but its writers disagree on protectionism.[21] It recommends abolishing the Department of Education, whose programs would be transferred or terminated.[22][23] Funding for climate research would be cut,[24] and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) would be made less independent, stopped from funding research with embryonic stem cells or using quotas to promote equal participation by women.[25][26] The project seeks to cut Medicare and Medicaid,[27][28] and urges the government to explicitly reject abortion as health care.[29][30] The project seeks to eliminate coverage of emergency contraception[27] and use the Comstock Act to prosecute those who send and receive contraceptives and abortion pills.[30][31] It proposes criminalizing pornography,[32][33] removing legal protections against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity,[33][34] and terminating diversity, equity, and inclusion(DEI) programs[5][34] and affirmative action[35] by having the DOJ prosecute "anti-white racism".[36] The Project recommends the arrest, detention, and deportation of illegal immigrants living in the country.[37][38][39] It proposes deploying the military for domestic law enforcement.[40] It promotes capital punishment and the speedy "finality" of those sentences.[41][42]

You may or may not be a racist bigot in your personal dealings with others.  I don't know you, so I have no clue.  But if you know and care for a Latino, an African American, a homosexual, a woman, an elderly person who hasn't attained great wealth or any children who must rely on public schools for their education, then you will be voting for the quality of those people's lives to be reduced.  In my life, that is well above 50% of the people I know and love.

So I would encourage you to think about that between now and November 5th.  Think about the line between your vote to those people you know who would be directly and negatively impacted by the societal changes Trump and his controllers are poised to make.  Consider if their hardship is really what you want to be responsible for ushering forth.

If after such consideration you still feel like such an agenda is what you want to support, then you still may not be a racist or a bigot.  I don't know you, so I have no clue.  But you will have certainly proven to be a sociopath who cares about little beyond yourself.

Is that who you wanted to be when you grew up?

I skipped a couple of pages and am surprised to see this still going on.

So let me add on by giving a hearty laugh about the 2nd amendment being about defending ourselves against a tyrannical government.  Thats great in the late 18th century and probably all of the 19th, as it would be a pretty fair fight if the numbers allowed.

buuuuuuuut- ever since ww2 for sure, the idea of any amount of the US population taking on the US military and not getting wiped out in days is a f ver dream. And the distance has grown every second of every day since.

There no number of people with AR platforms and no number of full magazines that could do the job, if the army was up for the fight.

And if we are now relying on a big portion of the armed forces to mutiny and point the good stuff back at the government, well then I guess we don’t need the dipshit brigades with their semi-autos and 4” erections getting involved and dying, do we?

You're both wrong. I thought his username, posting style, and arrogant ignorance on full display rang a bell, so I did a quick check of his posting history. He's some idiot younger guy who lives in Arkansas and is absolutely obsessed with the race topic.

To my knowledge, here's his first appearance in the CR when he previously made a complete ass of himself.

Yeah. That was immortal. That guy always had a screw loose, but he completely lost it after he announced on the board that his daughter (RIP) had passed. He also infamously created a thread about his Whataburger getting stolen from his vehicle in front of some other establishment he'd gone to on his way home. I think he lived in the Tyler area, and I'm fairly certain he's come back (much more chill) and occasionally posts under the HendersonHorns username now.

Poe's in Montgomery County. This Chupacabra kid is pretty consistent in talking about growing up in Oklahoma, which could account for claiming Native heritage, but he now living in Arkansas.
