The GQP: Trumpist Death Cult

If you run across any maga who says that Sundays comments were from a comedian and people need a sense of humor. Remind them it wasn’t a comedy show. It was a rally for a man who wants to run the most powerful country.

its also a good refresher as well in terms of those defending Trump on talk about grabbing women. Defenders called it locker room talk except it wasn’t a locker room. He was at work promoting his tv show.

these are the people we are voting against. surreal.

That is a perfect example of the lizard brain dominating reason. He was so angry that he couldn’t get a coherent sentence out. Fear and anger are so incredibly powerful and tfg has done a masterful job of manipulating those emotions to completely obliterate logic in the minds of his minions.

He really didn't like being reminded that he's voting for a 34-time convicted felon and rapist.

He doesn't even have his facts straight.  Judge Merchan was appointed in 2009, and not by Biden, but by Chief Administrative Judge Ann Pfau.  DA Alvin Bragg won an election to secure his post.  Clearly the jury is not appointed by the President.  These idiots hear random chaff spewed by right wing media (and Trump) and just lap it up.  Their lies are trivially easy to debunk yet there is no incentive to be correct, but rather just to foam at the mouth.

It's the same reaction we've all seen from kids who are maybe pushing the boundaries on good taste and group norms when their bros call them out on it.  An adult comes along to find out what's really going on and they immediately go into defense mode before any questions are even asked.  People with a conscience know when they've done wrong.  It's the Oatmeal cartoon.

The wife knew what was gonna happen. Next critique of trump was that he incited the insurrection on Jan 6.

Walmart wolverine amygdala would’ve triggered with “I was there! It weren’t no insurrection”

Wife didn’t want him to self incriminate himself.

If they started fact checking, they might not like what they find.  So they never bother to do so.   About 10 years ago, I asked my republican relatives to define the terms they were using and they failed to do so.   It has always been about buzzwords and nothing more.

Or his bookings go through the roof.

Haha. Just called their Atlanta office and got the call center. I said I want to lodge a complaint against one of their “talents”. She said “let me guess, Hinchcliffe? I said yes. She said I am in the call center and had never heard of him before, but United does not stand behind him with his comments.  I asked have they dropped his contract yet? Sir I don’t know but I will definitely relay your concern to them. I said that will be good because if not I will help start a SM campaign against this company. (As if there isn’t already one going on).

Most interesting part is that apparently he doesn't have enough money to pay a fine. FAFO.

Quote

VIII. FINE

The defendant’s convictions for violation of 18 U.S.C. § 231(a)(3) subject him to a
statutory maximum fine of $250,000. See 18 U.S.C. § 3571(b). In determining whether to impose
a fine, the sentencing court should consider the defendant’s income, earning capacity, and financial
resources. See 18 U.S.C. § 3572(a)(1); See U.S.S.G. § 5E1.2(d). The sentencing guidelines require
a fine in all cases, except where the defendant establishes that he is unable to pay and is not likely
to become able to pay any fine. U.S.S.G. § 5E1.2(a) (2023). Here, the defendant’s financial assets
set forth in the PSR suggest that the defendant is unable, and is unlikely to become able, to pay a
fine.

Something seems off. I looked up the Texas crime rates for 2023. There were 11K reported rapes. I can understand that many rapes are unreported but this feels like one of the reports is wrong.

On the subject, the rape/sexual assault rates in small towns is through the roof. The one bright spot is that clearance rate is also higher presumably due to being a small town. Link Page 25 Sadly clearance rate overall is shamefully low.

Based on personal observation, I'd say I've seen more garbage on Manhattan Island than the island of Puerto Rico.

Yes but the vast majority of yesterdays attendees were from Staten Island, NJ and LI.

It’s funny because Staten Island is literally an island of trash as the largest landfill in the world (Fresh Kills landfill) was located there.

“We’ve done it before,” Homan said, presumably referencing the less than successful slur-named militaristic “Operation Wetback” from the Eisenhower administration that Trump has repeatedly invoked as a model. But historians agree that campaign not only led to far fewer deportations than the federal government claimed, but also ensnared US citizens.

A mass deportation of the scale Trump and Homan have been touting would likely have the same result. And as immigration experts have noted, such a plan would negatively impact mixed-status households, potentially tearing families apart. To that, Homan offered an alternative. “Is there a way to carry out mass deportation without separating families?” Vega asked. “Of course there is,” Homan said. “Families can be deported together.”

He was on 60 minutes. This asshole wants to drive to work sites and round up people.

Which needs to be featured in an ad broadcast all over Hispanic stations. And I'm not saying that to imply the people watching are undocumented or illegals. I'm saying that they and their children are most at risk to get swept up in a raid and have their citizenship status doubted by some asshole with a badge. Not to mention people that may be in that group who they might give a shit about being taken out of the country or have birthright citizenship children removed as well.

That bit touches on the fact that the Republicans, at least in Texas, have never been serious about kicking out all illegal immigrants. If they did that in Texas, agriculture, construction, and service industries would grind to a halt.

Bosa’s a little bitch. Runs on the field with a maga hat but then tells the press later that he doesn’t want to talk about it. You have a microphone in front of you where you can say whatever you want about your beliefs but instead act like a 8 year old caught doing something wrong. At least be a man about it.
