George P Bush calling on all 4 GOP chairs to resign (Bexar, Nueces, Comal, and Harris)

uhhh, honorable people wouldn't be peddling racist conspiracy theories.

not sure why Bush thinks honor-ability is at play here.

The number of GOP chairs sharing dumb racist messages is now 5. Harrison county GOP chair near Longview shared the same staged for cameras execution conspiracy theory.

Also, Sid Miller, Agricultural Commissioner and troll extraordinaire, shared Facebook memes about George Soros paying protestors and orchestrating the whole thing. I’m sure Abbott will tell him to resign as well *eye roll*

5 county chairs.  Ag commissioner.  Governor bought into the Jade Helm bullshit.  Gosh, it seems like the GOP has the same "a few bad apples" problems as the cops.  What an amazing coincidence.

well, the issue is that trump has empowered them to say the quiet part out loud. republicans have apparently always been bursting at the seams with very racist leadership. before trump, they just kept it in the country club bar.

Might be better in the long run. Make it clear where you stand, ya chickenshit bastards.

Im sure our buddy Matt will be goose stepping along soon.

Oh, no, he says he “called for her resignation.” Real courage there. No word on the rest of the dozen of them, or Sod Miller, or a governor who was all flipped out about no Gestapo in Bastropo, yet fully supports an admin that wants to turn America into a military “battle space.”

It isn’t a glitch. This is the GOP, being who they fully are, because they can be. This is who they are.

James Dickey, chair of the Republican Party of Texas, issued a statement Friday afternoon calling for all five chairs originally identified to resign, saying their social media posts “do not reflect” the party’s history or values.

bwahaha!

Sorry, but that is an accurate representation of your party  Mr. James.

Should be “saying that the social media posts break the GOP rule against saying the quiet part out loud.”

These folks are the most honest members of the GOP.

I will never understand why Obama makes them so red-assed. I mean it just has to be racism. I really can't think of actual policies other than trying to do national healthcare where he really did anything remotely offensive.

This reads like their Hail Mary play.  They got nothing so they call Liberals commies--even though commies clearly supported Trump and Republicans monetarily, disinformation campaigns and hacking.  Just lie.

trying to do national healthcare by adopting Mitt Romney's plan, no less.  It's like if they just call him "the most divisive president" it will be true through force of will.

That really caught me by surprise. There have been lots of black mayors, governors, members of congress, etc. That never seemed to rile people up too much. At least as far as I could tell. But we elected a black man president and people went batshit crazy. I didn't see that coming.

Our family was discussing this at dinner last week. We wondered if perhaps the topic of racism itself being brought out and addressed--through some of the systematic topics he and his Cabinet discussed made those that find those very topics uncomfortable or fearful ("these" people don't deserve 'X' or "these" people will come and take what's mine if those barriers to success are removed i.e. it means less for me) was so unpalatable to them that as @kevwun remarked: it broke their brains. We tried to espouse to our children that a rising tide lifts all boats. It's not trite, it's true. Minority families, black families have paid into this system and seen few benefits. It's tragic how we as Americans have treated our brethren.

To @WhatTheBuck--I think he was a threat to their long term plan, especially SCOTUS. They weathered that, got Trump and managed to get what they wanted for the most part. And then the plague happened. Stay tuned. It ain't over yet.

I’m sure it’s interesting but not gonna bother reading the last few pages of this trread.

Trump is either a shitstain or a narcissist not worthy of being called a shitstain.

Tough call.

Frankly at this point I don’t give a shit. The fucker is done. And If he is somehow not, it is all over with anyway. So fuck all y’all.

Fuck Mitt Romney. Fuck him for enabling Trump and fuck him for speaking out only when its clear that the orange turd is circling the toilet. Mitt cares about his millions and his career a hell a lot more than he cares about the average american, and certainly the average black american. Being Mr BLM today is good for the brand, nothing more.

Probably discussed elsewhere as well but Cuccinelli saying that George Floyd’s death has nothing to do with him being black.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/07/politics/cnntv-ken-cuccinelli-george-floyd/index.html

In any other administration, he would have resigned by the end of the day for a tone deaf statement regarding race.  Even setting aside that he believes that race had zero to do with Floyd’s death, how can a national politician feel that is the best thing to say?

however he is following along with the homeland security secretary, chad wolf, who recently stated that racism is not a problem in law enforcement.

That is pretty much what Bill Barr said on Face The Nation yesterday so they have their talking points memorized. I don't know if they breakfast together or have a Facebook Group: High and Mighty Pricks Who Pontificate but they've gotten a lot more coordinated with their messaging, their behind-the-scenes-maneuvering to accomplish their agenda (in spite of Trump) and be able to mitigate some of his greater screw-ups. Fortunately, some events are out of their control, but they seem to be giving it their best shot. Barr has been taking lessons from the Newspeak School and he's pretty damn good at it. That he and the others like him see their cause as just and for some longer term righteous glory bugs the hell out of me. Go read some Carl Sagan, Bill Barr and after that I'm going to pick you up and we will drive south until you can come work on a roofing crew for the summer. The work those men (are there many female roofers?) do places a shelter over someone's home. The work you do Bill leaves people homeless or dead. That's not winning Chad, Ken, and Bill--that's criminal.

If he thought his seat was in jeopardy, he'd drop to his knees and suck Trump's dick just like all the rest of the GOP traitors.
