Ravnsborg, the 44-year-old Republican attorney general from Pierre, was driving a 2011 Ford Taurus westbound on the highway, DPS said in its Monday morning news release.

Pretty weak grift game.

I'm gonna assume it's a state vehicle.

So, if we are playing along at home

-State property used for personal business

-Possible alcohol consumption with driving afterwards

-Manslaughter, and

-Hit and Run

Wow Travis Tritt is still alive?

"Anymore" was such a sad fucking song.

I spent the summer of '92 driving around DFW listening to that album with a beautiful girl from Watauga. When I was reminded of his existence last week I looked her up on facebook. It seems like she hasn't had an easy life and that makes me sad.

Fucking Travis Tritt.

Sid Miller, our Ag Commissioner

“I would certainly expand medical marijuana. If it’ll help somebody, I’m for it. Whatever it is. I mean, a toothache, I don’t care. If it’s a cure, if it [alleviates] pain, we should be able to use that,” he said.

“I’m not a recreational marijuana, but if someone has a condition that this chemical will help, they should be able to use it,” Miller said.

yup. I expect Trump to announce decriminalized weed in the next month or so.

Wouldn't that turn off his evangelical base?

of course, they haven't been turned off by his philandering and bribing of porn stars, so not sure why this would be a step too far for them

Can't wait until Jim Baker starts hawking his 5 lb bucket of doomsday schwag.

He is moving a little slower these days. During the legal battles (being sued for the COVID health claims regarding the silver solution he was hawking) he suffered a stroke. At first I thought it was perhaps a little flim flam, but apparently he really did have a stroke. He's 80 and still out there predicting the End Days and how Trump is the best for America.

I always figured legal weed would be their ace in the hole if that feel like they're about to lose power.

Police unions won't be happy with that.  The war on drugs funds quite a bit.

In spite of the anti-socialist rhetoric, when you consider the military and law enforcement, more state employees vote GOP for socialized job guarantees than vote Dem.

I guess he finally learned how Texas fared at the Alamo.  Do they not teach Texas history in 7th grade anymore?

I'm putting this twitter thread in the Republican thread for the single reason that the GOP is:

Red Dawn: Grand Junction Billboard Notes Russian ...

Olga is a good follow on Twitter. Doesn't have the blue check, but I enjoy her take on things:

As you all know, Michael Caputo came on board recently at HHS and immediately began attacking CDC credibility. He has zero expertise in matters of health, but a ton of expertise gleaned from working with Roger Stone and Russia. He is now taking a "leave of absence" for "health reasons". The damage is done, and I don't believe he is though. Just a little sabbatical so he can continue working behind the scenes.

In addition, Barr seems to be all in on the Russian model:

I'm so glad they're hanging out together.  But really wish more of them would not be scared to hang out so they and their families could all be fearless together during these trying times.  And then they could kinda quarantine together in whatever town and the US could just send over a coroner along with a couple of fellas with spades to bury these bikers and their fearless loved ones.  They could fly a massive confederate flag over their graveyard--really wouldn't care what they do once they leave this planet and the US alone.
