JFC, think about how much time and effort is spent trying to disprove false negatives to stupid people in our country.  And yes, it's obviously a fool's errand but you have to try sometimes because they are people in your community, office, schools, and family.  I mean, I probably have to exert 10 hours a month telling people they are criminally insane for what they believe.  Yes, I am also insane but I know it and don't let it effect my socio-political habits.  So I have that going for me...which is nice.

Missouri says hold my beer and ban vaccine microchips.

https://arstechnica.com/science/2023/03/missouri-house-advances-bill-to-limit-nonexistent-vaccine-microchips-just-in-case/

Quote

In the latest efforts by Republican lawmakers to enshrine into law Americans' right to freely spread deadly infectious diseases to each other, the Missouri House this week advanced a bill that would bar governments, schools, and employers from mandating certain vaccines—as well as things like vaccine microchips, which do not exist.

The bill, HB 700 (PDF), was sponsored by Rep. Bill Hardwick, a Republican from Waynesville. Hardwick told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that he believed people "lost their minds" during the COVID-19 pandemic, and that legally barring officials and employers from requiring life-saving vaccination, even among health care workers, feels "like it's the right thing to do."

Quote

The bill specifically bars requirements for people to receive COVID-19 vaccines. But it doesn't stop there. It also bars any requirements for people to receive "a dose of messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA)," thus barring requirements for any future mRNA-based vaccines, should they be needed in upcoming pandemics or outbreaks. It also bars requirements for "any treatment or procedure intended or designed to edit or alter human deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) or the human genome," and "any mechanical or electronic device" that would be placed "under the skin."

Quote

Those last two stipulations reflect ridiculous yet widely spread conspiracy theories related to the COVID-19 vaccines—namely the entirely false ideas that mRNA vaccines alter people's DNA and that COVID-19 vaccines somehow contain microchips. These imaginary microchips are often said to be placed in vaccines by global elites, including Bill Gates, to track people's locations and "force compliance." The absurdly bogus idea ties to other, equally nonsensical conspiracy theories that the vaccines connect people to 5G networks and literally make human flesh magnetic. The latter hogwash led to a deeply disappointing number of online videos of people sticking metal objects to themselves.

Quote

Lastly, the bill would require all employers and public colleges and universities to allow exceptions to any vaccination requirement if the person "holds a sincerely held religious belief, which may include any deeply held nontheistic moral belief," that prevents them from being vaccinated.

I assume the article is written unclearly. If not, this part could greatly affect diabetes treatment.

I wear a sensor that connects with my phone and gives me my blood sugar in real time.

There’s two wires that are under the skin. The sentence in the article doesn’t say the outlawing of devices placed under the skin only applies to when it’s employer mandated; it could be interpreted that any devices under the skin are outlawed.

I’m confident that the brilliant minds of the republican representatives considered this and wrote legislation that couldn’t possibly be interpreted this way.

The bill says you can’t require those things, not that they would be illegal to have, receive, or use.

I'm picturing you as Woody and some assclown from Waynesville as Kevin McHale having this conversation at Cheers.

"Yeah, well I heard it another way..."

So I'm done with these people.  Just drink the koolaid.  There is no reason for them to continue among us.  We can't get rid of them ourselves, but shouldn't we encourage them to finish themselves? Just rid us of yourselves.  Go away.  That's all.  There's a simple way to vanish.

I, for one, applaud their decision to kill off the worst amongst us.

How do we go about unleashing another pandemic?

Should I go to a live animal market in China and fuck a racoon dog?

Because I will if it's asked of me.

One of the best things I have seen in a long time.  Grace Linn is 100 years old.

i just don't get these type of pics.  I mean I know Jesus strolled around Nazareth with dual bandoliers of 50cal ammo crossed over his chest and a Barrett slung over his shoulder but the family gun porn pictures are just obscene at this point.  it is perfectly fine to just say "I support 2A" and if your position is to 'hold the line' with no plans to alter the wild wild west of anything goes, so be it.  But lining up your family and draping AR15s all over them as a Christmas card just seems grotesque to me.

When the leading cause of death for children is guns, yeah, it is grotesque.

Super super excited about their pew pew toys; Super super angry about Mr. Potatohead, or Dr. Seuss, or whatever the made up controversy of the day is. Just broken people.

Yes, of course it's grotesque.  It also demonstrates exactly what they worship, which isn't Christ, but guns, and they are both proud of their gun fetish and unaware of the irony.

Because it is.

Literally no one has ever loved guns more than Jesus Christ himself.

I'm no biblical scholar, per se, but I think Jesus was really into guns, and violence, and money, and hatred, and fucking over poor people.

right, but are the majority of GQP voters demanding gun porn pictures from their politicians?  Is his primary competition shooting videos of riding around in a tank and firing mortar rounds at migrants crossing the border?

At this point, if I were a feckless GQP politician I might distance a little bit from 2A nuts, amp up the T&Ps, and lament the sad state of mental health in country (while stripping away healthcare).

This is not overtly cruel enough.  You'd need to find an out group, preferably small in number so they can't fight back, to demonize.
