Night of the long knives is coming.

In a flippant effort to avoid thinking about the potential for that grim event, I have considered Trump’s inept attorneys and am pinning my hopes that his staff will be similar enough that we will have the Night of the long straws.

kevin mccarthy just said with a straight face that republicans renew and that retirements do not bother him, and they have more women running than at any point in republican party history.

lulz.

oh also, "this job should not be your whole life." has he looked around the chamber at his old white male republican colleagues?

Oh, just an okie insurance agent threatening to hunt down our state's lone democratic congresswoman for acknowledging facts and voting to impeach. This is your party gop, are you going to fix it, or just let it ride as long as you win a few elections in red states full of idiots?

NBD though, he says he just had a few too many beers. I know when I have a few too many I make domestic threats against members of congress, then bang a fattie at closing time. Same ol same ol.

I just called Liberty Mutual's corporate HQ at 617-357-9500 to express my opinion about Smallwood (such a perfect name for that cunt).  If you choose option 6, they will pick up.  I was not the first they've heard from.  He probably isn't having a very good day.

dude lived his life with the name smallwood.  cut him some slack.

You know the thing that hurts him the most though, is that the name fits. Yo Brad, it's not the mexicans or liberals fault you got a small dick and a shitty name, blame your parents dude.

It will all work out.  He'll end up being a star agent for America Freedom Eagle Fireworks Insurance -- he'll appear on Tucker Carlson and Ingraham, and advertise on Fox, and make a kabillion selling (my idea) MS-13 insurance to scared old people.

For every Trumpkin acting like a complete monster and losing the path to normal business, there is a grift just waiting for them.  There's gold in the MAGA hills, there to be mined.

He probably doesn't even have to work anymore in insurance. Just start a gofundme and be a whiny little bitch about "freedom of speech" and the "deep state." Enough morons will contribute to set him up for life. Fuck work, it's only a "handout" if you're dark.

McCarthy has been in government (local/state and national) since 2003. He should consider fucking his own face.

Oh, no, no.  We've totally progressed.  We can do this to each other now:

That's science!

i was driving home in traffic and a thought came into my head.  Do nearly all Republican kids now lie and cheat?

I mean if they accept that behavior in every walk of political life, would not children of parents that accept that behavior adopt it to some degree?

I think they adopt the "win at all costs" philosophy more than the Dem base. More "pull up your bootstraps" than "alone we can do little; together we can do so much."

Lol. Highly recommend Half Moon in Jamaica, despite the racist clientele. He left the day after so I spent a couple days hanging out at the bar on the beach talking race and politics with the guys who work there. They knew who he was and what he stands for and a couple were not happy. But made for fun and interesting conversations with the locals and ended making some friends out of it.

My wife had to put me in check when we heard one of his wedding party talking loudly about how Republicans are more open minded than the "socialist left with leaders like Pol Pot."

i think the problem is simply that the human lifespan leave us with little to no guarantee that wisdom can actually hang around from generation to generation. The question is how severe will it be when it happens. Its clear the moments of peace are getting longer, which is nice. Hopefully the moments of war don't continue to get more severe.

Eugene does a good job talking about it here:

The most surprising thing about that article wasn't that an investigation concluded an elected GOP official engaged in domestic terrorism, it's that the minority GOP leader said he should resign.

Is this when Republicans loot, destroy and set things on fire? Or is that just a democrat thing? Asking for a friend.

That’s your response to a story revealing that an elected republican is a terrorist?
