On Prime - a chilling look inside a small group of white supremacists who declared war on the federal government and waged a campaign of terror across several western states in the early 80s. Jude Law is really great.

Saw it last weekend and liked (but didn't love) it.  Agree that Law did a fine job, and I also thought Hoult was really good in his role.  Jurnee Smollett, OTOH, was out of her depth.

One of the things I didn't like was . . .

Spoiler

. . . the "Hollywoodization" of the house fire scene at the end of the movie.  Pure bunk to have Law's character enter a burning house like that.  And to my knowledge it did not happen in the actual incident.

Hell or High Water still holds up pretty well. It would be nice to see Sheridan show some restraint sometime and get back to that kind of writing.

Love that movie.  The final scene between Bridges and Pine is worth the price of admission alone, IMO.

I watched it a couple of nights ago with my daughter.  We enjoyed it, and it spurred some questions from her.  I laughed when they showed the meeting between the guy leading the violent splinter group and the preacher trying to talk him out of it by telling him that the violence wasn't necessary because, in ten years, they could change things by having people in the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Yeah, that elicited a chuckle from me as well.

Watched The King’s Speech on a flight. I hadn’t ever seen it. Good movie, well acted, interesting true story.

Watched it a few years ago as I felt it was a movie that I’d wouldn’t be interested in when it came out but found it to be an excellent movie.
