McLaren's suit against Palou went to judgement. F1 claims were dismissed entirely, Indycar related claims (mostly missed out sponsorship deals) awarded in amount of $12 million, and attorney's fees awarded against Palou (which look like they'll be determined at a later hearing)

Tim Cindric is shockingly returning to Team Penske. Team Penske announced that Cindric will serve as Scott McLaughlin's strategist on the No. 3 team throughout the 2026 NTT IndyCar Series season, the . The organization let Cindric go after a cheating scandal in the Indianapolis 500.

This is a shocking move, as Team Penske looked into the future, hoping to get rid of the issues in the past. Team Penske has been involved with several cheating scandals in the IndyCar Series, which isn't a good look, as Roger Penske owns the series. Now, Cindric is back to work with Scott McLaughlin.

The 2026 Team Penske INDYCAR strategist lineup is set.

If you're watching on DVR, you're probably not checking this thread, but on the off chance that it can help someone, go ahead and fast forward through the first ten minutes of the broadcast so you don't have to endure Jameis Winston giving some shitass motivational speech to drivers.

On to JerryWorld. I 'member my last IndyCar race in Texas in a football stadium parking lot. Here's hoping this weekend goes much better than that one did. Surely the safety measures will be much better, but that Houston race set a low bar. What a shitshow.

Holy shit. I just watched Rossi's full FP1 lap. The long straight is super bumpy and looks scary AF. No thanks. Got damn.

#16

I'll be at the race this weekend. I will not be surprised at all if this parking lot race is a shitshow. Hopefully it will be an entertaining shitshow.

My kid will be there shooting pics. If you see a 6' 6", 20-something photographer with curly, dark hair, it's probably him. I ain't paying for reserved, and I don't think I'm up to all that standing on asphalt & concrete in GA. Should be a good time though. Have fun!

North Texas is going to have 30 mph winds today gusting to 50 mph. Could cause chaos on this street circuit.

LMAO. Just saw the aggy car for the first time a few minutes ago. I had no idea they were sponsoring a car - because why on earth would a University sponsor a race car?

Gotta spend that Qatar money somehow I guess.

glad they're showing this graphic for their app instead of racing.

Why the fuck does aggy feel the need to advertise?

It is odd and seems like a big waste of money

I predict it will run out of gas on the last lap

Yeah, Jimmyjazz in the tell me about aggy thread said "We didn't lose. We just ran out of gas". If only that would actually happen. aggyest thing ever.

aggy car trying to cheat, of course.

Grosjean. That’s a surprise.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. Haven't seen whose fault it was, but I'd put money on him.

Seems like the event was a tremendous success

Kinda wonder if there were some shenanigans like Jerry tying dallas cowboys suites to Indycar suites. Still, biggest merch sales outside the 500 isn't a bad place to start.

Now if only we could get fox to focus on on some of the 155 passes for position that weren't for the lead and maybe figure out how to cut down the commercials (they're actually good at broadcasting soccer so they don't need to fuck up racing so badly) we'd have a series people might enjoy watching more. Race fans have been spoiled by F1 being ad free from about the third race after ESPN acquired the rights for a player to be named later.

Wow. If Siegel really threw a block there that's some seriously bush-league bullshit. That could have been very, very bad.

Yesterday, I had pointed out that Graham Rahal had the front right red tire all scuffed up, likely meaning contact of some kind (wall or with a driver)

I went back and found it during the second stint. Very lucky that Rahal and Siegel did not have a major accident here

Shame Palou never got a serious chance at a McLaren F1 seat. Dude is just a machine. Sure, an advantageous pit box doesn't hurt but at worst he was going to be second and he's so much better on the black tires he'd have had a great shot at passing Rosenqvist.
