Texas has signed Western Kentucky All-American offensive guard transfer Laurence Seymore, @chris_hummer and I have learned.

Began his career at Miami.

NCAA is giving out waivers like candy, and we have no shortage of lawyers at our disposal...fuck it, why not throw the dart? Everyone else is making up eligibility rules as they go along, why not us!

We must think he can get a medical waiver for one of the years. He was in a car accident his senior year of high school, but articles say he was fully cleared for fall camp that year.

.@On3's @PeteNakos reports that Seymore has an extension of eligibility waiver currently in progress.

Per his rep @Derek_3s: "He will be working with the UT compliance department but we are optimistic his case will be approved.
Western Kentucky OL Laurance Seymore (@xklvsive00) has signed with Texas, his rep @Derek_3s of @3strandsports tells @InsideTexas' @josephcook89

Seymore was a second-team All-American in 2025 for WKU.

Same.

Just from a team perspective, filling the only real hole (yeah yeah) we have with a second team All-American would be pretty cool.

On the bright side, and it's only a little bright compared to what we'd done at the position the last 12 months, Flood taking a 6'2" lineman who isn't even currently eligible indicates someone made the staff realize they better not sit on their hands again.

Desperate times require desperate measures.

this is gonna end up like all those clearinghouse cases where Bama/tOSU players get cleared magically right before the season and ours do not on some BS technicality.

but at this point it is worth a shot.

Happy Canadian GIF by The Weeknd

And with this late move, we somehow go from the abject depths of portal failure to fielding the greatest CFB offense in history. There is no in between.

Hello @KJJFlood,

Excited to confirm we’ve landed Laurence Seymore. A strong strategic win that builds real momentum for the team. Looking forward to the operational synergies and durable value creation he will bring to the offensive line. Onward and upward.

Best,

Will

Hi @KJJFlood,

Circling back here to get it to the top of your inbox. As per my last message, Laurence Seymore is still just sitting in the portal. Please pick him up.

Urgent regards,

@closetojumping cry more you pussy ass bitch.

Why would I cry, at all? If Texas wants to do this, fine by me. It wasn’t something I’d hoped for, but if you think I’m making this a hill to die on, you really are as dumb as you often behave on here.

Now, if the NCAA wins if this goes to court and protects term eligibility requirements, I’ll be happy with that too, especially when I get to read woe is me sobbing from you and the other chronic whiners here. I can’t lose, dummy.

Also, “pussy ass bitch” as some sort of sick burn is beneath even the way my 6th grader and his buddies talk. You really might not be smarter than a 5th grader and it’s like you go out of your way on this board, constantly, to prove it.

Also also, negged.

From Western Kentucky and no longer eligible... Any chance Flood has a red stapler and an office in the basement?

This guy can play (hence, second-team All American), and the NCAA is a punching bag in court. You can be happy.

He will measure in at 6’1 3/8”.
