The album/recording/cd/whatever we call it now, "Son of Dad" has over 30 tracks that you can listen to without skipping one. What an interesting/talented dude.

I think I posted in the covers thread....but his cover of Stand By Me is amazing.

I had tickets to see him in Houston awhile back and they rescheduled the show cause his mom had some medical issue so it is now 2/17. Looking forward to getting to see him live.

I recall reading that he was raised by his dad (who passed away in 2018 I think) and his mom was pretty much absent from his life. Maybe he reconnected.

Yeah. I listened to a podcast interview of him a year or two ago (when I first found his music) and his mom was pretty absent, but always sort of around. They've gotten closer later in life.

Don't know why the YOUTUBE did that but you can still click on the youtube and it will open and play.

Just listened to a podcast with SWJ. Before he quit his job as a chemist, he developed the dog treat DENTASTIX.

Went to the 2/17 show in Houston. It was pretty packed. He played for about 2 hours. Great show. He even came up to the upper level and jammed out for a minute

I didn't realize that he's married to that singer from Sixpence None The Richer.

Dammit I’m gonna have to be the contrarian. I posted him in the Isbell etc thread last summer and reactions were decidedly mixed. For a similar vibe I like Ryan Bingham better. There’s something about SWJ that seems try hard to me.

very good Houston show this past week, place was packed

It's the main song in the new Brad Pitt dog movie.

He is at Floore's in Helotes Friday night.

Just saw him singing Hunger Strike with Eddie Vedder and he sounded a hell of a lot like Chris Cornell, which I'm guessing he was aiming for on that song. Never heard of him before but that was impressive
