I watched this tonight. The first time I heard about it was earlier today. There’s a reason I’m starting this in CR. This movie is important and needs to be seen by a lot more people.

Anyone else seen it?

Anniversary was released by Lionsgate Filmson October 29, 2025.[8] Shortly after its release, Frank Wuliger, a partner at Gershrepresenting director Jan Komasa, said that he believed that Lionsgate "buried [Anniversary] because it is incendiary", while producer Nick Wechsler said that the film was difficult to market due to audiences being "afraid" of political films.[3]

That was intense and, uh, a little too familiar.

Exactly. They had to have been making the son look like Ben Shapiro on purpose right?

So no one else eh? Alright, well it’s a startling portrait of what we could be heading towards. Fascism and the loss of civil rights because of a cult that worships a false view of America. I thought it was quite poignant.

Dude, you gotta give me time once you give me an assignment. I just finally knocked out One Battle After Another and Sinners during the recent snowmageddon event.

Sinners was great. Just want to get this on people’s radar.

Is this worth me paying $5.99 to a streaming service I already subscribe to? Chaps my hide to do that.

Yeah I had to do that too. It’s some bullshit. I just don’t know if this will ever go to free streaming, considering how it was squashed to begin with.

I enjoyed it. Diane Lane would still get some.

Man, they really should have stopped with those large family gatherings long before the end of the movie. "Gather around the dining room table everyone, and let's converse with the leader of our country's fascist movement.... oh no, things are going poorly and everyone is fighting."
