Didn’t know this would be the movie, but it was enjoyable and most of the people at the showing were clapping at the end.

The Topher Grace character made me laugh because it reminded me of a pastor I met before named Steven Furtick. I’d like to hope Furtick isn’t like this character played by Grace. Also it was awesome seeing Ed Harris as well. Always liked him.

Had no idea this movie existed until last night. Went in completely blind not knowing what movie to expect, which was different from last month when I was expecting Primate.

Definitely one of the movies worth watching this year. Stylishly done.

Topher Grace doesn’t seem to show up much and is usually good when he does.

this was on the bubble for me - maybe see it maybe don’t. Sounds like it’s worth a watch.

I like the Monday night mystery movie thing done by Regal and AMC. It gets some good movies more attention than they might otherwise receive. This was well done and the ending was just about as 2026 in America as you can get. I also got familiar with Huntington from my time living on Long Island a decade ago. Fairly accurate description of some of the wealthy people who live there.

Looks good, thought it didnt release till the 20th?

It was the February Secret Movie of the month showing by Cinemark and a few other theater chains. For $5 you can buy a ticket to an advanced screening of a movie only knowing the rating. You dont know what the movie is until it starts. This one started and I had never heard of it, but it was worth watching. A well done black comedy

With the Epstein files revelations about the wealthy in America it definitely released at a good time. Gives it a little extra punch.

The lady sitting next to me said "of course" at the ending

Totally agree on that. The timing could not be better for this movie.

My thought at that moment was exactly the same as that woman.

Saw it tonight and really liked it, very fun movie. Would fit nicely with No Other Choice, another recent dark comedy with one guy carrying out a bunch of convoluted murders for financial gain. I don't understand why a movie with Powell and Qualley was dumped with barely any promotion. They were both great. The idea that Powell would have ever picked that homely troll over Qualley was ridiculous.

critics didn't like it 🤔 but seems like most of y'all did, and the audience score >>> critics score... so i think we're gonna give it a look today 🙂

Usually trust the audience score(IF it's a genre you like) and word of mouth over critics IMO.

ok, yeah, that was enjoyable 😊

whatever, teacher chic was cute as hell!

also...

did Julia actually kill her husband and set Becket up, or did he really commit suicide? he did seem pretty miserable...but if she killed him seems like she could have played the suicide note card a lot earlier.

anyways, i was also reminded how old Ed Harris is 😒

I assumed she killed him. She had to withold the note until Beckett was convicted for maximum leverage.

The teacher was alright I guess. I may have exaggerated.

Ed is definitely getting up there. I thought the teacher was pretty as well.

This is what I usually do unless you can tell it’s just bots giving it a high rating. RT is having issues with that more often. This was a cool movie and it’s few and far between where I watch a movie based on the critic rating. I’d miss out on so many good movies if I only watched what a bunch of pretentious pricks like.

Saw this afternoon. Overall enjoyable. Probably not worth going to see it in the theater, but would be a great movie to stream later on.

And the teacher would definitely get it. Of course, only after I was done with Margaret Qualley.
