I hope that after the Final Four concludes that Arizona and Michigan will not be replacing their coach. UNC is an upgrade in past tradition only. That brand is only as strong as the amount of money their alums are willing to fork over to win games.

The proposal would add eight games to the First Four, with 24 teams playing in an opening round before advancing into the main bracket.

I'm rooting for UCONN tonight, although I will not be upset if Orlando Antigua gets a championship with Illinois. I don't think it will happen though as I think either Michigan or Arizona will win it all. I don't like anyone from the Big Ten winning but, Michigan is really good.

In 2024 when the UCONN gals lost in the Final Four the guys won it all. Same for 2001. Crazy to think UCONN guys have only lost one of their seven Final Four games, and that was in 2009.

That mullins frosh for uconn will be making a f'n truckload of NIL thanks to this tourney.

It appears the basketball gods had a meeting and decided UConn should get all of the lucky breaks at the rim for the vast majority of this game.

I think Illinois has discovered the secret sauce, which is they need to drive the ball to the hoop every possession.

I just made that comment to my kid. The uconn shots are bouncing in and Illinois' are bouncing out

Welcome the world of playing a basketball game in football stadiums. I get it, more seats, more suites = more money. But it's a god awful atmosphere for fans and many players have said playing in these huge domes, is difficult for their depth perception. Even on tv, it looks un natural. But we will never see another Final 4 in a regular basketball sized arena ever again. Basketball games don't belong in these gigantic stadiums. No idea why people even buy these kinds of seats.

That is certainly understandable. He is up there on the Asshole Standings but, he’s an excellent coach.

Oh hell yes on this. I think the first time I saw it was an NCAA tournament game in Minneapolis in the late 80's probably? It was stupid then, it's still stupid. Fuck that shit.

I also hate Vandy's deal where the benches are on the end lines. Grating.

producers completely missed it. They should have given Charles the nugget that the last time there was a heavyweight game this big was Duke-Kentucky 1992, the Laetner shot.

I don't even see how they allow this for a safety issue. I get nervous anytime I see players get near there in a scramble for a loose ball. That could end very badly.

They need to see if they can squeeze a few more people on the pregame desk 7 isn’t enough.

That was the East Regional Final. Kentucky was the #2 in that bracket and Duke was #1. Perhaps they were meaning in the Final Four.
