Big as a whole has learned how to play physical on the cusp of fouling without getting called for it. Other conferences need to learn from them.

Michigan is doing this largely without their Big 10 player of the year Lendebourg. This team is stacked.

if Michigan doesn't beat UConn by at least 10 points, there is something seriously wrong. The only thing Michigan could be surprised by is a close game. They should be favored by at least 8 imo.

Joey Crawford going in is absolute comedy. Completely and utterly incompetent at his job, but too much of a narcissist to realize it. Screw that guy going in with this class.

Oh and Doc Rivers getting inducted solely because of Kevin Garnett being traded to THOSE GUYS. Garnett should go up there and be the one inducting him and take all the credit for this. He has been average to mediocre in every other coaching stop just like he was as a player.

I have a feeling there a couple of things that could make this the most interesting final game in memory.

1. Dan Hurley - working the officials. This guy is the Master of the game. Imo, Michigan will be playing 5 against 8 for over half the game. However, the most impressive thing will be when UConn. has the refs on their side. I predict that were I a betting man, I would bet everything I could stomach that at the 10 minute mark in the first half Michigan will have more calls against them than UConn. It will be 5 against 8 for the first 10 minutes of the game and the first 12 minutes of the 2nd half. The world class entertainment could come at the breaking point, when the refs decide they have to go back to 5 against 5. Pretend UConn has a 2 point lead and all of a sudden Hurley is not getting the calls he has been getting for 10+ minutes. He could explode, get a tech. called and this could be very interesting.

2. Will there be a reincarnation of the best shooting in a final game ever??? 1985. Georgetown vs. Villanova....I watched every second. Before looking it up**, I want to say Villanova shot 22 of 29 from the field. Their FG % was about as high as their FT %. looking. UConn may need something north of 60% from the field to win the game.

if UConn gets those two things to happen they win and Hurley gets the biggest raise ever for a BB coach.

**looked it up, it was 22 of 28 FGs and 22 of 27 FTs.

Apparently before the game the two coaches, mostly Staley, made a big to do about their pregame handshake/hug. I guess that was the first thing that ticked off Geno in the UCONN v USC semifinal game. That they didn’t shake hands before the game.

Michigan was 33-69, and that was solely due to Cadeau missing 12 shots (5-17) and Roddy Gayle Jr. being 3-9
