Fucking Jets would draft Julian Sayin that high.

What am I missing? He had better stats than Arch. Yea, I know he is only 6' tall, but hes a great QB.

He's really good throwing to NFL receivers when his pocket is perfect.

Def wary of Ryan Day QBs

Stroud - massively regressed
Justin Fields - meh
Haskins - what?

#12

How could you not take Smith #1? He has an easy argument as the most dominant CFB receiver of all time and I don’t see that changing at the next level

QBs are more valuable to NFL teams and their success?

I could see Stewart going before Simmons. He’s a little taller.

Jeremiah Smith going later than Carnell Tate would be hilarious.

Nobody can out tank the Jets. They’re going to have the first pick.

probably missed the last few OSU games. He was the limiting factor on that offense. He does not handle pressure well. I think he was the 4th best skill player on his own offense. How do you grade a QB in College when he is throwing to 2 WRs that will go top 5 in the draft? One of the best environments in football to throw in. It was just his first year, so he will improve. I have heard OSU fans say the back-up is better. I believe more talented, but not better at this time (I look forward to the talent vs ready debate with Lacy and Bell next year).

As long as arch doesn’t go to the cardinals, jets, falcons, browns or titans, it’ll be alright. Actually any of them should avoid az.

Four Texas players among first 10 picks in CBS Sports 2027 NFL Mock Draft

By Hank South

CBS Sports published its first 2027 NFL Mock Draft, and three Longhorns are among the first six picks. Overall, CBS projects UT to have five first round selections.

Here's a look. If you want see the full first round mock, CLICK HERE

1.) Arch Manning -- New York Jets

What CBS Sports said:

"After a turbulent start to his first full season as a starter, Manning helped guide Texas to a 4-1 finish, including three wins over ranked opponents, while flashing athleticism as a runner that adds another layer to his profile. Despite the last name and pedigree, he'll need to sustain that late-season momentum to separate from a crowded field and ultimately come off the board at the top of next year's NFL Draft."

4.) Colin Simmons -- Cleveland Browns

What CBS Sports said:

"A former five-star out of Duncanville High School (Texas), Simmons burst onto the collegiate scene, finishing just shy of double-digit sacks as a freshman before adding 12 more as a sophomore. A quick-twitch, explosive pass rusher with relentless tenacity, he possesses rare physical tools off the edge that help offset concerns about his length and overall mass at the next level."

6.) Cam Coleman -- Las Vegas Raiders

What CBS Sports said:

"Following two seasons of high-level flashes paired with uneven play, the former five-star transferred from Auburn to Texas this offseason, joining forces with Manning in Austin. At 6-foot-3, Coleman brings elite field-stretching ability and the capacity to play above the rim, making his appeal easy to understand."

10.) Trevor Goosby -- Atlanta Falcons

What CBS Sports said:

"Protector of Manning's blindside, the rising junior has quickly become a foundational piece of an ultra-talented Texas offense under Steve Sarkisian. Listed at 6-foot-7 and just over 310 pounds, Goosby uses his frame exceptionally well as both a pass protector and run blocker, typically winning with length at the point of attack. Still filling out, his best football is ahead of him -- which is encouraging given what he's already shown."

29.) Ryan Wingo -- Baltimore Ravens

"Wingo is far from a finished product, but at 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds, his size and vertical playmaking ability make him an intriguing prospect. He should benefit from the arrival of Cam Coleman as he settles into a more defined complementary role."

as good as Jeremiah Smith is, do NOT sleep on Cam Coleman. He's closer to Smith than people are giving him credit for.

Wingo in the first round would mean he REALLY stepped up his game. Im all for it, but I doubt it.

I could see Wingo pushing 1st round with a solid season. I suspect he is the kind of athlete that could be a combine darling.

Idk. The Jets could be a really good job next year. They had an excellent draft and have 3 first rounders again next year. As well as $151M in cap space.

Its not so much his height, its the size of his hands. And you know what they say about guys with small hands? Small gloves.

Dolphins won't need the first pick since they have so many Horns now

The Dolphins have 15 players who played at Texas schools, I was curious. Wow!

The NFL loves the measurables. Don't underestimate how much.

Some people think it would have been better off if Arch, Simmons, and Goosby had left early because our 2026 draft class would look better.

Going into the 2023 season, replace “Wingo” with “Worthy”

Simmons would have some issues attempting to make an nfl roster this season.

Tanking for Arch has been the Jets’ plan for well over a year.

The Giants think Dart is their guy.

Advantage J-E-T-S!

So here’s the problem for the jets. Browns have also been tanking for Arch

A buddy of mine that's from Cleveland keeps telling me the Browns will tank (not really sure how you can tell with them) and take Arch because Haslam and Peyton are big buddies. I told him they will pull an Eli if that happens, and they'd have my full support

Watson might be healthy this season? I don’t think he’s anything special, but he can be league average when both legs are functioning.

Meanwhile, the Jets signed Gene Smith and will likely bring Russell Wilson as a backup. That is a masterclass in tanking.

Because you always go QB if you need it.

The Only teams that could be #1 and NOT take a QB at one are probably the Chiefs, Bengals, and Chargers...might see Baltimore/Buffalo not either...not sure anyone else would pass on a QB.

And if they did, they'd dangle that first round pick for a kings ransom, and trade back a few spots to take Smith and get a Haul

That would be real nice...could see Wingo sneaking in if the Hornsh have a playoff run, Wingo looks good in the process, and he blows up the Combine(possible)

WTF would the Fins pass on a QB in THIS draft for WR? If they want Smith they'd be best served to trade back a spot or two and get a bunch of picks for it.

Oh nice...Biles in the Top 10...would be crazy if the Horns got 6 in the first round. Would be a lot of crow eating.
