Is there going to be any golf worth watching the rest of the year, other than during Sunday nap time?

So you're telling me I won't miss CBS on DirecTV in Dallas until football season?

And the money winner will be the FedEx Tour Championship winner, which is redundant forcing both trophies to the winner of the last event (but when you put up the kind of money FedEx is then you deserve to make the rules)

Are you saying that's how it's setting up for this year -- that the same player will win both? Because it doesn't always happen that way. Last year, Justin Thomas won the Money title and Justin Rose won the FedEx Cup. In 2017, DJ won the Money title and Rory won the FedEx Cup.

Speaking of Butch Harmon -- well, sort of -- I saw a stat today where in a period of 26 starts in 1999-2000, Tiger won 15 times.

The special on golf channel right now tells more stats. He had 50 wins by 30.

Man - it feels like the PGA season went by super quick. I know there are a few events left, but this week and then the last couple of FedEx events are limited field. And then the off-season events to start the '19/'20 hold minimal interest (as does the Presidents Cup).

And next year they have the Olympics in early August, so that will take some of the players off tour for a week or two.

Brooks has Player of the Year (formula, but if isn't Brooks the formula is wrong), and Tour Player of the Year (player's vote)
Matt Wolff or Dylan should win rookie of the year (maybe Cameron Champ - I forgot he was a 'rook, he played well early in the year)
And the money winner will be the FedEx Tour Championship winner, which is redundant forcing both trophies to the winner of the last event (but when you put up the kind of money FedEx is then you deserve to make the rules)

The majors being this bunched together, even though it's only a few weeks difference, sucks. And I don't see how champ has a shot at ROTY. He won in one start, a no name event with no top tour talent, and has been dreadful ever since. Unless that win alone gets him ROTY.

I'm still pissed about the changes to the Tour Championship. The last big event of the season is essentially ruined.

Koepka with a 3 shot lead. If he holds on to win, I’ll be more impressed with this than with his top 5 finishes in all 4 majors this year. He needs to win more events, period. And a WGC to boot? This is the kind of golf the most dominant player in the world plays.

From a mental standpoint I’m beginning to think brooks might be redefining the mental game like tiger redefined the physical aspect. Then again, tiger had 50 wins by age 30. We’ll never see that again.

Jordan Thur tee time - 1:00 - with Casey and ChuckyIII

This weeks pick'em is how over/under 4.5 - the number of holes Jordan has that are a double bogey or worse

this is an experiment to see if I can reverse jinx him out of the bad hole funk

Not if you ever saw her in person.  She was 27 going on about 50.

Jordan comes to the 18th tee at 7 under, one off the lead.  Then puts his tee shot OB.  Still, managed to save bogey.

You'd think someone 96th in driving distance would have a clue where his drives are going.

Hybrid pulled into fairway bunker, had to lay up and then over the green. Nice start Jordan. Playing partner takes iron off the tee and birdies hole.

It is moving day.  Jordan's IS moving.  +3 after 6.

He's just not a great player anymore. Still young so he has time to figure it out but it's almost gotten to the point where any win would be a shocker. He's barely hanging on to top 70 in the fedex which is the cut for the BMW Championship - 2nd last weekend.

It's clearly a mental thing and I'm hoping he gets his head right because it's a blast to watch when he's hot and making moves. Big crowd favorite and a Horn (obviously).

That said - how about this Hovland kid? Really like him.

he's added two more double bogeys to his card.  now +7 through 17.

Spieth missed the Final Rd cut... DAMN!!

With horrible Saturday... went from -9 to only -2

So he got the old MDF... made cut/did not finish

Highlights of Jordan today...

Him and George gankas as a coach would create amazing videos. Meaning Jordan doing his normal shitty shot commentary while George is saying “drip drip dude!”. (If you don’t know who gankas is, Instagram him, he’s wolffs coach, fascinating teacher, and would wear billabong to a masters dinner)

Jordan should get out of the car and walk straight to the first tee, dude is mentally fried warming up.

the second video here shows where Jordan's head is at on the range.  it's not a good place.
