for you old's whenever Mony Mony would play people in the crowd would follow up with "hey everybody, get laid, get fucked"

when Copperhead Road would play there would be a lot of people singing "fuck the Army" after certain lyrics

honorable mention to the assholes who add on their chants to Family Tradition and You Never Even Called Me By My Name

don't get me started on the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer bullshit

Man, you sound like a ton of fun at parties.

*It's possible that some of the guys in my band get lit on occasion and do the chants to Family Tradition and You Never Even... from the stage. The crowd seems to like it. I'll keep an eye out for folks seething in the corner though.

The “Salt Salt Salt” crowd is definitely annoying. I can understand singing along to The Weight though, that one gets a pass.

It's the ultimate group jam/singalong song. Everyone tripping over themselves on the timing of the "and". Rock and roll tradition right there.

I frankly don't trust someone who can stand there and silently nod along while "The Weight" is being performed. It just isn't built for that.

If drunkenly yelling "LET ME LET LET ME LET ME LET ME" in a roomful of a bunch of other people is some kind of crime, I'm doing life without parole at this point.

Yes, I realized I've criticized people singing along to songs previously in the thread, but I wasn't upset that they're singing. I'm upset because I hate the song.

after almost 30 years as a patron and many years working in bars and nightclubs, I am extremely jaded to repetitive songs and live music. and don't get me started on karaoke.

Lol. We played Adairs once and they told us if we played “Wagon Wheel” they’d cut our electricity off. We laughed but we didn’t test them.

Luckily you weren’t involved with my post high school band Dire George Straits which would start out as a slow country song and quickly morph into punk.

You know that Billy Idol himself recorded a newer version of the song singing that part himself?

If the artist embraces something you don't like, maybe you are the problem

Well, they certainly didn't use autotune.

And ya know, at this point I'd rather hear off key vocals than autotune anyhow

That sounds kinda cool, actually.

I love that band name. I was in a very unserious Austin band that changed our name every gig, but the name I was most proud of was Pontius CoPilate.

To continue the theme: perhaps the greatest comedic band name I ever heard was Better Than Better Than Ezra.

That sounds dope. Starcrawler does one like that. I dig their shows.

My favorite was the Wimberley Volunteer Fire Ants.

I just saw this dipshit taking video from the fucking pit at Outside Lands. I hope his phone got smashed. Hundreds of people having a great time, no phones, thousands more NOT in the pit and phones were pretty scarce, but Campbell McFuckface wants to document his time in a mosh pit instead of . . . you know . . . ENJOYING THE MOMENT.

I couldn't care less if someone is recording a concert with their phone as long as they aren't talking to the person next to them or using flash. It's kind of the definition of "their loss".

unless you are at a ludovico einaudi perfornance that is seated and the dipshit sitting in the row right in front of you is holding his phone up through half a song. i try to give grace but ended up telling the dumbfuck that if he didn't put it down, i would shove it up his ass right there (/toughguy) and the five or so people sitting around us rode my tough guy coat tails and said "yeah, put your phone away you moron."

but yeah, if you're at a rock concert and aren't talking and have your flash on and aren't in my way, i generally don't give a fuck about your idiocy. but context matters you assholes.

I'm not concerned so much that he was blocking people's views. I'm laughing that he's a dipshit stuck in the middle of a mosh pit missing out on the actual experience but instead trying to capture 20 sec of footage of a band he probably doesn't know anything about.

I mean, this is a safe space, right? This thread? I can laugh at dipshits?

PS: nobody said it was a Black Flag mosh pit. That doesn't really happen much any more. These are circle pits with minor contact and a hand up when someone goes down.

My drive home takes me right past/through Glendale, and more often than not, I'll have a little M 3 series or the like darting through and around traffic like it is there road and how dare we cause him a delay. I find myself wishing I come upon them shortly in a one car wreck with their head s separated from their boy.

Well that's certainly a take. Which head? Who's the boy?
