The Water District took ownership of the field in 2019 and has spent upwards of $200,000 annually to maintain and secure LaGrave. The district originally planned to restore the stadium by entering into a contract with a third-party company, but in 2020 it terminated the contract as the company could not meet its terms and conditions to prevent further vandalism.

The Pulido's, in Cleburne, is closed permanently as well. It was pretty solid, but without a full renovation, I don't see how anyone could get it to pass a health inspection.

Cleburne is kinda underrated on Mexican food, it has a huge Hispanic population due to inexpensive housing. It's an old railroad town and is full of stick built houses from the 1940s, 50s, and 60s with one car garages. You can pick one up for about $100k, and be within 25 minutes of Ft. Worth for work.

For whatever reason, Eastland may be the one to reopen after Hurst.
Just now from Bud's FB...

Answering all the questions in one post:
1. Pulido's reopened. It's at 2900 Pulido St.
2. Pulido's also will reopen in Hurst. But not Benbrook or Cleburne. Those buildings are for sale.
3. Wild Salsa reopened. It's at 300 Throckmorton St.
4. Reata is still open at 312 Houston St. until June 30. Then it moves to 500 Throckmorton St. That's the old Cantina Laredo.
5. Los Vaqueros is stll open at 2629 N. Main St. until June 30. Then it moves to 2513 Rodeo Plaza. The parking is on streets nearby or in the Billy Bob's lot.
If you'd like to keep up with restaurants, here's a way

A Mansfield woman is in the hospital after allegedly falling out of a vehicle and being struck by a car.

Mansfield police say they received a 911 call from the mother of the victim around 1:15 a.m.

The caller said she was driving her 21-year-old daughter home because her daughter was possibly too drunk to drive herself.

The mother told police that she was traveling on FM 917 when her daughter fell out of the car and was hit by at least one vehicle.

The caller told police she didn't immediately stop because there were other cars on the roadway behind her, but she turned around and called 911.

When police arrived at the scene they found the 21-year-old with major injuries. CareFlight flew the woman to John Peter Smith Hospital.

Mansfield police say at last notice the 21-year-old is stable and receiving treatment for her injuries.

No arrests were made the the scene of the crash.

That's a real rough morning.

This would not exactly be riveting viewing during dinner.

We just moved to the temp offices there (long story) and, my god, I dare y'all to name a place in FW with better talent.

Went to a hot yoga class in that office complex over there pre-pandemic. Place was crawling with talent. Insane. Sounds like they've come back post-pandemic.

Let’s pretend you have a sister with 3 kids that lives in Denver, we’ll guess they’re somewhere around 8-14, maybe younger. They’ll be in town Thursday night, want to eat somewhere ‘fun’ with the grandparents. Where the hell would you send them?
I'd say Roger's Roundhouse but it is pretty hot out there!

This reminds me of the Fort Worth Foodies FB page where someone asks about like the best sushi in Weatherford and half the responses are suggestions to try a place in Garland or further.

Sake Sushi is the answer to the question. Pretty sure it’s also the only sushi option in all of Parker county.

Best is still when somebody started a thread for a TCU game however many years ago. One suggestion was Sardine's on University, which had been closed for every bit of a decade.

Lol, Sardine's dates back to my growing up years in Fort Worth.  And after dinner, we'll head over to Tootsie's on White Settlement to catch Delbert.

My wife and I were really disappointed in the food at the remodeled Pulido's. They did a nice job fixing the place up, but the salsa was bland, too tomatoey, and had an aftertaste similar to cocktail sauce. She said the flautas were good, but my cheese enchiladas had little taste and the rice and beans had no flavor at all. I'll probably give them another try because its close, but other people have written the same and apparently they haven't/won't adjust.

There’s two people I know that order cheese enchiladas, my five year old and my 84 year old granny. Guess it panned out for you this time, hard to catch e-coli from pasteurized cheese and it sounds like the new joint is prime for it.

Maybe that's why she's made it to 84. 😉

48 hours to the best night of the year!

The O/U will be 7.5 shooting victims (not deaths) in Como on the 3rd. Place your bets.

Under for Como, over for the city of FW proper. Double the over if we include Everman and Forest Hill as FW. I’ll get you something fancy if you win. Maybe some Beefeater and a Sonic gift card with enough on it for two chili cheese coneys.

You need to know more people. Cheese enchiladas are great and any Tex-Mex joint that can’t pull that off is in bad shape. It’s like a bbq joint with bad brisket.

He gets the chicken “fajitas”. Fruit cup instead of refried beans.
