Why does my PC keep crashing

Featured Replies

I have a two year-old tower in our home office. It’s pretty much just used for Internet and MS office work. Starting about a month ago, it started crashing within five minutes of being logged into. I managed to change the setting that forces it to reboot, but I can’t figure out what’s triggering the crash. Where do I look? It’s Windows 11.

Did you Google "kernal_security_check_failure (0x139)"

Why would he do that when he can get one of us to google it?

Thanks guys. I found an Indian guy on YouTube who told me how to reset my windows install, all it took was for me to send him an Amazon gift card. Hope I don’t lose all my porn. Other than that, it could be a ram issue. Hell if I speak computers.

If your hard drive is SSD, I would recommend installing a utility from the manufacturer to check the age. Those things do not last nearly as long as regular hard drives. And can also be f'd up by Win11 updates.

You should probably ask someone that went to college. That or an eight year old.

Sounds like a bad update. Boot into safe mode. Then..

Go to settings (Win + I), > Windows Update > select Update history.

You will see a complete list of updates, driver updates etc. Look back 2 months ago. If shit was updated, that is your problem.

Uninstall the updates.
