Capella looks lost out there

Missing his defensive rotations and getting blocked by smaller players. Wouldn't mind seeing some Nene out there against Gobert.

They blew their wad in the first half and we played poor. I like our chances if we don’t shit the bed in the second half.

The 3rd quarter will be huge. Just have to gradually cut into the lead. It will be helpful if Capela ups his intensity too - he has to finish more consistently around the cup.

Did Faried get hurt again? The bench has 5 points tonight, pathetic.

I don't think so. I would have liked to see more Faried when Gobert sat last quarter with foul trouble. But that 3rd quarter went well so can't complain too much.

Really need to put Gordon back in and feed him.

They went for small ball, against a team that routinely plays 2 PF/centers. It was a weird decision, but with no interior presence, they just chucked 3s most of the game. Only 5 points from the bench doesn't help, but nobody really got going. For as much shit as Harden gets for game 3, the team collectively sucked pretty hard in game 4.

It would have been nice to have the extra rest but it'll be nice to hopefully end on a home game before going on the road for 2 tough games in Oakland.

Maths... This is where the math says to put in smaller players and shoot me 3s...

Over time, the math is right. Unfortunately, there is no math for runs, good or bad. The answer is to meet the best shooters keep shooting.

Would be great if the math would also say something about increasing short term success (higher percentage 2s) when NPV of 3s is not paying off...

It seems only Chris Paul has the mid range green light.

With Capela battling a virus, and his ineffectiveness, makes it all the more baffling that Faried didn't get more minutes.

Nene got 0 minutes.

Nene would have got abused. Not sure why Faried didn't get more minutes.

Going to just a 7 man rotation in the 2nd half was definitely frustrating. If Capela is ineffective, you'd think Faried (or Nene) would get some time and if we're going to play Tucker at center to go small for significant stretches, probably need Green to get more than 3 minutes in the half and/or work in Shumpert.

Meh the jazz are a good 5 seed that didn’t want to get swept so they turned it on at home. Houston will win tomorrow and get ready for GS, the small might have been Houston being up 3-0 so toss out a lineup we might use against GS and get them some run in a non pressure situation. Either way this series is over tomorrow.
