Also on Mutonomah falls, if we went on a Friday afternoon do I get a parking spot or not?

Also go to Latourell falls. Less crowded and equally badass.

Others here will know more, but when my daughter and I visited colleges in March, the area around Reed looked pretty nice.  Cool homes, restaurants and bars, etc.

Friends just bought a house by Reed on Steele St. Nice neighborhood. Mostly 40s and 50s houses. Pretty campus. Woodstock area nearby has all the little shops and Restaurants.

Thanks for the recommendation. We enjoyed the loop trail to Latourell falls a lot more than the Multnomah trail. Tasty n Alder was probably our favorite meal. Did have to wait an hour for brunch but we knew to expect that. We loved the skirt steak at Ox but didn’t care too much for the chorizo or blood sausage. Had a great trip.

Here for a few days with my family and I'm going into the city by myself for the Ohio State - Clemson for many hours come hell or high water (already spent a few days in Eugene seeing some of my wife's family). Is there a good brewery where I could catch the game? It looks like I'm very close to a Trimet station so I can take that to the city.

Check out Franks Noodle House. Not a brewery but good food.

Lots of good breweries pubs and bars in Portland.

I assume this would be a good place to watch the game then? I'll probably hit up a few spots so I'll check it out.

Went to Portland with the wife in February...maybe I already mentioned it but Expatriate is a great dark bar with pricey but fucking great cocktails and really good food.  Concordia area I believe

Pretty sure Deschutes has a place in Portland and I think others have posted some places worth trying if you are wanting to drink and watch football.

Yup. Downtown on 11th. My friend is a cook there.

Are you more interested in food and drink or game watching environment?

I don’t recall 10 Barrel having very many televisions.  Von Ebert Brewing around the corner has some that are viewable from everywhere.  Both have good beer and food imo.

There are a number of legit sports bars in that area.  On Deck and The Fields are modern sports bars made for game viewing.  Kingston and Cheerful Bullpen are old school dive sports bars.

Also as you mention there are a bunch of choices in the area.

I was gonna say Locust Cider, but the one in Vancouver is permanently closed. Gotta go to Seattle to get any. I know there's one in Fort Worth. Damned great Cider the Vanille Bean Cider is just wonderful.

Gonna take a walk down N Mississippi?

Maybe this weekend.  Spent the day up in Columbia Gorge where we got tons of snow.  Headed back to grab dinner at Kachka. Cannon Beach tomorrow for the day.

Rabbit in a clay pot at Katka is nails. If you ever want to see another cool spot of the Gorge, Cape Horn on Washington side. Might be the prettiest drive of the Gorge. imho.

Go to the tide pools of Cannon Beach. Always fun, but have some cheap water proof boots, that water is Cole.

(Not my pic, but you get the idea.)

BTW, rabbit pot was on point.  I drank a lot of the horseradish vodka and am OK with that.

Today was dicking around town.
