I thought our whole season would be mostly games like this. I'll trade the close win here for the nice comfortable wins over USC and TCU. Hoping we can get back on the improvement train.

Georgia Penn St and Washington all lost today. WV game against Iowa st is no gimmie. We will be 6th in the country next week.....Maybe top 5. Do we deserve it ? No but who really does at this point besides Ala .....

top 10 had bad games this week. I don't see UT losing if Sam plays, then the CCG vs. OU/WV winner (last game fo the year)

UW just lost to UO.

Survive and advance. Playoff is a bonus if it happens. Just focus on winning the Big 12

We were due a clunker after the stretch of beating USC, TCU, @KSU, and OU. It didn't help that Ehlinger was lost on the 1st drive. Still defense and Ingram stepped up, while CJ and LJ did what they do.

Yeah, but we’re not winning by 50+ anymore...

Proud of this squad’s response. Don’t always love them, and we have mistakes a plenty, but they didn’t turtle up after getting beaten by the Turtles.

I most certainly was not expecting 6-1 after 0-1.

Great job by all those responsible.

And that team we lost to is now 4-2 I think with huge margins over Minnesota and Rutgers. So they aren’t bottom dwellers.

They might also beat Penn State, who has one of the worst clutch coaches of all time.

and 5-0 with my same clothing combination.

Same

for me its outdoor flag placement and this week the routing was off slightly, so this weeks close game was my fault, back on track next week and week after

They also got smoked by Michigan, and more importantly/worse, Temple. That Maryland loss is a huge albatross on the season, no way around it. That said, if that was the sacrifice the football Gods demands to end the purple curses, beat OU, and not blow it against Baylor, I'll take it.

I think LSU jumps us, and maybe the winner of Mich/Wisc. UCF not this week but could with a blowout sometime soon if we look meh. And I’m not sure UGA falls below us.

Glass half full:  This team has not reached its potential  They can do a lot better.  When the whole team is playing beast mode every down, oh lordy!

Agreed. This team has still not played a complete game.

That's the thing, no matter where we end up in the polls you gotta ask yourself, what other teams are more deserving of being in that spot? Likely none..

True but they’ve won 6. Image what will happen when they figure it out.

After the last 9 years I'm absolutely fine with winning every game from here on out by 3 or less.
1 point is fine by me as long as we get them all

We announced the Maryland Home and Home the Thursday before the 2010 UCLA game... Once we finished the home and home we are 6-0. Conclusion: Never fucking schedule Maryland.

I'll take 6-1 without complaint. I'm not concerned about the playoff. We're not that good yet, so we'd likely just be a first round loser. Might as well play in a bowl we could win.

I just want to see steady progress that can be sold to recruits.
