Didn't catch the first few minutes, but I saw 0 shots made by Luka or DSJ, and Mavs are only down 7.

2nd unit was strong and HB showed up big.

DJ showing some leadership as well and love seeing Maxy take it to ‘em!

I didn’t see the Wes foul but assumed it was regarded because Wes does regarded, hero ball shit.  Assumed we were going to OT so my o/u bet would hit.  Lulz.  Wes had other plans

I know we all to rag on Wes. But he (and HB) kept us from getting boat raced last night. Also, a reminder that Luka is still a kid:

edit: sorry, missed digdug's post.

Luka not only got the jersey, he also took a forearm to the gut from LeBron that knocked him back about 15 feet into the standard under the basket.  Damn near broke his ribs and gave him a concussion.

He'll be sharing that story with his buddies back home.

Getting run by this no-name Knicks team at home is straight embarrassing. If you’re gonna be this soft, take your ass to the bench and grab a pillow.

what? no team is going to be able to shut down Allonzo Trier, man

I'm a bit tired of watching Rick rolling out shitty D year after year.  just signing a shot blocker isn't going to do it.  barnes is looking more like the spare GS thought he was.  we aren't competitive with bad teams and that should have Cuban concerned about Rick but Cuban probably doesn't care too much.

Rick is not made for a young team trying to find their identity.

Cool to see DSJ take over the game a bit at the end there.  Basically willed the Mavs to win when Washington was making a run.

I feel like we should let Doncic touch the ball every possession but that's just me.

Motion to change thread title to Dying for Zion.

I'm really starting to think we're headed for the nightmare scenario where we're awful this year, but not bad enough to get our pick.  Very possible we end up in the 6-10 range of the draft, which would make me feel kind of sick in the stomach.

The only positive would be that the new lottery odds give would give us a better chance of moving into the top 5.

Really wishing that draft pick was top 10 protected.

They stay this bad(which I don't think) they might end up with their pick after all.

So is Lukas first all star game appearance this season or next?

He keeps this up I can't imagine him not getting picked. Definitely will be one next year. First Rookie since MJ to average 20 6 and 4. Dudes gonna be a superstar.

Are yall forgetting what conference we play in? If he makes it this year or next it will be via the ballot.

Are you forgetting that the players are the ones who pick the teams now? It's not East vs West anymore.

Whoah, didn't know that. Ok that changes things a little. Did they do that last year as well?

Yes. LeBron and Curry were the captains. Not sure who it'll be this year but it is suppose to be televised like a mini draft.

Yeah I remember now. I guess I thought there were rules in place to prevent it from being totally one sided in terms of allstars from one conference. But there's probably really no requirement or pressure to do that.
