To an extent, some are legitimate people who have some business they are trying to increase the profile of. There was a Canadian yesterday who said brisket was overrated. Of course, you click on his profile and he's got some douche website engagement business. The whole point was to say something controversial and have people click on his profile. Maybe you convert some people, probably very few.

Yeah, ummm, Tyler.....I don't think her lack of respect for you is because you're "a white man."  It's almost certainly because you're a giant piece of shit, who is wrapped up in his "identity" as a white man, which mostly involves you acting like a complete fucking entitled asshole.  Plenty of white men aren't assholes and do just fine with women.

TLDR; it's the assholery, stupid.

FFS, this is how stupid this fucker is:

The influenza virus....and coronaviruses....are not the same thing.  The dumb fuckers say "the flu just disappeared," which is surely a significant surprise to the millions who contracted a flu virus the past 4 years, and certainly to the folks monitoring the bird flu virus clusters popping up right now.

This is the dumbest fucking timeline ever.

Honest markets being ones that turn a blind eye to what they do and place little to no restrictions on their business. Or rich people wanting to be more rich so they align with the group that most allows that.

Paris literally invented the word 'Macabre', there's 6 million skulls in those catacombs/ossuaries, 'Tarot' cards started in France, more burial plots per square kilometer than any city of its size in Europe...by far.  One of several starting points for modern magic, some occult study, and Ouija come from Paris.  While still a very Christian city, majority Catholic, they are bound to the history of their city going back to the Roman Empire.  I don't know if some of these tweets and above posters noticed, but the whole procession was populated by Parisian history from playful, to cliche, to artistic, to fashion, to the mysterious.  Every four years, my amazement is rebooted in how fucking stupid our population is.  Just looking to find shit where there isn't any without any sense of geographic, historical, or cultural insight.  This is like a competition in Bhutan or Lesotho where none of us knows almost anything about those places.  This is Paris, it's a major global city.  In what she learned today watching the games and following along with a printed atlas with national facts, my daughter just surpassed at least half of MAGA nation in knowledge of the World.

$50 and a bronze medal says there's a shocked and appalled fat American couple walking the streets of Paris latenight looking for a pizza place where they breed Parisian babies to eat.

Well you see the folks who tout free speech and whine incessantly about cancel culture (aren’t supporting US basketball and soccer because they said things they don’t like) also love say anyone who gets upset is a snowflake (while being the biggest bunch of pussy snowflakes in the nation).

Every accusation and whatnot…

Did you even watch the opening ceremonies? There were a lot of other "odd" things you've never seen in any other opening Olympic scenario: a metallic robot horse galloping down the Seine, decapitated Marie Antoinette singing that led into a metal band performing on balconies, athletes riding boats, a floating Olympic caldron, etc.

But your triggered ass's only one and only comment in a 6-page thread about a ceremony lasting over 3 hours was based on a single performer in a faux "fashion show" meant to evoke in a tongue-in-cheek way the decadence of the court at Versailles just before the French Revolution. If you hadn't noticed, "liberty, equality, fraternity" (the motto of the French Republic) was the basic theme for the entire show.

But yes, I'm sure the art director also wanted to make cranky weirdos like you a little pissed because people like you don't actually believe in liberty, equality, or fraternity. All you right-wing pigeons just want to yell at your teevees: "We gotta blow up those things we don't understand!"

Enchubben and the idiots offended seems like they suck.

I bet the bearded lady made him get a little (and I mean little) enchubbened in his pants, and the only thing he knows is to lash out in embarrassed anger. As we've seen, that self-doubt/self-loathing is one of the unifying forces of the right.

Now bolverk, if you look at the soil around any large US city with a big underground homosexual population, des Moines Iowa, for example. Look at the soil around Des Moines, bolverk, you can't build on it, you can't grow anything in it, the government says it's due to poor farming, but I know what's really going on, bolverk ! I know it's the queers! They're in it with the aliens! They're building landing strips for gay Martians, I swear to God!

Post-punk parody band from the 80s: Dead Milkmen. They loved making fun of rubes and predicted in many of their songs where the Right-Wing was headed. In my HS group, they were a staple for just about every house party. We just drank and smoked and sang along. Everyone in my small West Texas town group of outcasts knew the lyrics.

You'll understand when you listen. It's not terribly abrasive if you're in on the joke, but it's hilarious if a clueless meathead football player happens to show up at the house party.

The lyrics are embedded below the video if you'd like to read along.

You know what, Stuart, I LIKE YOU. You're not like the other
People, here, in the trailer park.

Oh, don't go get me wrong. They're fine people, they're
Good Americans. But they're content to sit back, maybe
Watch a little Mork and Mindy on channel 57, maybe kick
Back a cool, Coors 16-ouncer. They're good, fine people,
Stuart. But they don't know ... what the queers are doing
To the soil!

You know that Jonny Wurster kid, the kid that delivers papers
In the neighborhood. He's a foreign kid. Some of the neighbors
Say he smokes crack, but I don't believe it.

Anyway, for his tenth birthday, all he wanted was a Burrow Owl.
Kept bugging his old man. "Dad, get me a burrow owl. I'll never
Ask for anything else as long as I live." So the guy
Breaks down and buys him a burrow owl.

Anyway, 10:30, the other night, I go out in my yard, and there's
The Wurster kid, looking up in the tree. I say, "What are
You looking for?" He says "I'm looking for my burrow owl."
I say, "Jumping Jesus on a Pogo Stick. Everybody knows
The burrow owl lives. In a hole. In the ground. Why the hell do you
Think they call it a burrow owl, anyway?" Now Stuart, do you
Think a kid like that is going to know what the queers are
Doing to the soil?

I first became aware of this about ten years ago, the summer
My oldest boy, Bill Jr. died. You know that carnival comes into
Town every year? Well this year they came through with a ride
Called The Mixer. The man said, "Keep your head, and arms, inside
The Mixer at all times." But Bill Jr, he was a DAAAREDEVIL, just
Like his old man. He was leaning out saying "Hey everybody,
Look at me! Look at me!" Pow! He was decapitated! They found
His head over by the snow cone concession.

A few days after that, I open up the mail. And there's a pamphlet
In there. From Pueblo, Colorado, and it's addressed to Bill, Jr.
And it's entitled, "Do you know what the queers are doing to our
Soil?"

Now, Stuart, if you look at the soil around any large US city,
There's a big undeground homosexual population. Des Moines, Iowa,
For an example. Look at the soil around Des Moines, Stuart.

Exactly. The songs are very much on the nose. Now go listen to "Right Wing Pigeons from Outer Space." It's about Reagan but completely apropos for Trump.

re: Dead Milkmen: They played at FunFunFun Fest, too. Not much more terrifying when a crowd of thousands that's packed shoulder-to-shoulder in Waterloo Park begins to sway, making it very difficult to keep your balance as you find your late-30s-something-ass-self suddenly realizing your mortality and you get stuck in a mosh pit while you try to get out to find your fuckin' deaf, elementary-school-aged daughter *somewhere* over there.

Not my proudest moment; it was my scariest dad one, though.

At least that’s the way Chad Jr hears it.
