In anticipation of Echoes of Wisdom, I have replayed Oracle of Ages/Seasons, Four Swords, A Link to the Past and now deciding between Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask or Skyward Sword.

Maybe Link’s Awakening but I’ve played that so many times

I recently tried to play Skyward Sword HD on the switch using a pro controller. The HD release re-maps all the motion controls to buttons. You control the sword by flicking around the R stick.

I didn't think anything could ever be worse than the original sword motion controls, but they topped themselves. They are so random and frustrating that I gave up at the first boss.

I actually enjoyed the remapped motion controls for the switch for Skyward Sword.  Once you get the hang of it, it's much easier; just don't take long breaks between sessions or you forget it all.

I ended up playing A Link Between Worlds (on 3DS - my favorite game), Ocarina and Majora's Mask (on the Switch emulator).  Started Spirit Tracks on 3DS but forgot how much I fucking hate using the stylus to control Link and just let it go.

Just got my shipping confirmation for Echoes of Wisdom.  Reviews look great! That art style they used for the Link's Awakening remake is my favorite.

I'm looking for a good game for the Switch for my 9 year old son for Christmas.  He has Mario Kart, the Legend of Zelda games, Pokemon and some others.  ANy suggestions for newer games that I could look at?  Racing games that don't involve crime?  Adventure games?

the kids (ages 7 to 13), their cousins, and their friends have been playing boomerang fu every time they get together.  it's a simple multiplayer game where the objective is to be the last man standing.

My son got into Fortnight on the Switch.  He plays mostly on PC now.

Is he able to play this single player or does he need to play with friends?

Looks cool. Will be a purchase to pair with a new Zelda game, or maybe a Mario odyssey 2. Needs more than MK9 at launch for me to justify upgrading

Nintendo delayed the release of Switch 2 for a year to give the launch games time to cook - I hope that translates to a murder's row of releases.

The power level of the device is probably going to be somewhere between a PS4 and PS4 pro

February 4th announcement with the rest of the details. I like the bigger screen and slightly larger joycons. Hopefully they've got hall effect sticks so we don't have to keep dealing with drift

April 2, not February 4. They used the American date I believe

Oh neat, if you're in the Dallas area there's a "Switch 2 Experience" coming to you April 25-27

Okay that's awesome because I remember going to a big Nintendo experience like that at Fair Park when I was in junior high in the late 80s. Maybe that was the Nintendo World Championships like they had in that terrible Wizard movie with Fred Savage.
