I don’t care to review any data from an Islamaphobic and racist organization.  Maajid Nawaz and Ben Carson were listed on their hit list.  Why are you such a damn simpleton?

Yeah, I know all the right wing propaganda shit sites you read like the dailywire, the federalist, and the National Review bash the SPL for obvious reasons.

However, looking at their rating from a neutral 3rd party grade, they can be trusted for factual information that does have a left of center spin.

Factual Reporting: HIGH

Notes: The Southern Poverty Law Center is an American nonprofit legal advocacy organization specializing in civil rights and public interest litigation. It is noted for its legal victories against white supremacist groups and its legal representation for victims of hate groups.  The SPLC also classifies and lists hate groups—organizations that in its opinion “attack or malign an entire class of people, typically for their immutable characteristics. The SPLC has been accused of having a far left bias by hate groups and other questionable far right sources. We rate SPLC left-center in bias through reporting choices. It doesn’t make the data I presented any less true.

As reported by the libcucks at Cato: https://www.cato.org/blog/gao-weighs-countering-violent-extremism

Huh. So let’s break it down on a Per Capita basis.

In 2016 there were an estimated 233 million white people in America.  Cut that in half for right wingers and you have 116 million right wing white Americans.

The number of Muslims in America in 2008 (same Wikipedia page on demographics) was 1.35 million.

So with roughly 1% of the gross population numbers, Muslims were able to muster over half the amount of domestic terror events as all of right wing white America. That’s pretty impressive.

Thanks for sharing these enlightening numbers.

Three posts into this one and we have people opining on such things, but it takes three pages for you to address me on the matter.

For me to address you?  I don't think I raised the issue at all.  I think that you're asking for statistics demonstrating that white men are responsible for more terrorist acts (or deaths?) than Muslims.  I'm not particularly interested in that, mostly because I don't believe that there are clean statistics for it (what is a terroristic act, are we tallying deaths or something else, how far back do we go, who is white and who is Muslim, etc) and also I just generally don't care.

It sounds like Don Lemon made a statement that white men are a bigger terroristic threat than Muslims in America, if I'm remembering the top post correctly.  I suspect he may have used some statistics when making that point, but I'm not sure.  I think you could build a strong argument for what he's saying if you take him to mean currently, and just point your finger to last week, and how the toxicity that was a causal factor in those events has only picked up.  Cue someone saying that the hapless bomber guy isn't white.

I don't care.  Given 9/11, it wouldn't surprise me if, should we agree on a measurable statistic for terrorist killings, Muslim terror would still lead in this country.  But that was 17 years ago, we could shape the statistics to show a different picture, vanilla isis is quite likely the bigger threat right now, and let us not, LET US NOT forget MS13.

Can someone tell me if the Austin City bomber was a white guy or a black guy? I can’t remember.

Isnt it amazing how women never have the same mental illness that causes men to go on mass murder sprees.

Maybe we should rethink the whole “bitches be crazy” thing.

There is nothing about this post that is serious or rooted in statistics. And technically, I am simply asking for the people making statements that begin with "statistically speaking" to show their math. Your response was "start a new thread". Which only depicts laziness.

therein lies the rub. as I said a couple of minutes ago we can't even agree on the stats therefore they are lacking at best. I maintain that Paddock had a clear motive, the FBI and the LV Police decline to say he did. so there. They only released the case files after a court order and redacted as much as they could get away with. Plausible deniability baby!

That story went so cold it’s a travesty. Pretty obvious to me that Paddock had something about him that made law enforcement want the story to go away. No other reason. There had to be hours of footage of him leading up to it. The kind of footage that captures people’s imagination and keeps a story going. The casino and police never released it. Mainstream media never really pursued it imo. That’s telling.

are you just demanding that I post some statistics for you?  or, are you not following my post in which I describe why I don't see tracking down some stats as particularly important?  Would it help if I clarified that i was mostly poking fun at you for asking the same question over and over again a la tjhooker before he went and started a thread demanding satisfaction?

How about this? Between 2008-2016 Muslims were 50 times more likely to be involved in a domestic terror incident than white Americans.

***I’m sure I’m not phrasing that exactly correct but you get the point.

Posters: Statistically speaking white people are the greatest terrorist threat.

A: Yeah, I'd like to see that math.

Celery: Statistics are not important. You are acting like tjhooker.

A: OK.

Posted the above, in media res

“The things you’re seeing on the news and reading in the paper aren’t happening.”

Have y’all not been paying attention to the mass shooters and bombers for the last two years?

Pretty much all white guys.

Do we really need stats to prove there weren’t several phantom ISIS slaughters no one reported on?

If we want to talk about terrorism and America, let's get fucking real. Its not contemporary wypipo you need to perseverate on. The foundations of this country are fucking genocide and racism. America ain't all it's cracked up to be. Don Lemon out front should have told ya.

@Anastasis what up? do I need to recaliibrate the sarcasm meter?

Not sure.  I mix sarcasm with seriousness frequently.

But America has always been largely deplorable. We genocided the indians while enslaving africans. Even during the period we call our greatest generation we ground the heel. We make steps to make things better, but the reality is that we are what we are. Hey, we've advanced as a people to the point that we've figured out how to outsource most of our atrocities.  Cheers. It's really just a matter of a constant recalibration.

noted. agreed with all of what you said. The best you  any of us can do going forward is to deal with what is on your plate now. I can't go back and fix slavery then, but I can treat everybody the same damn way now, Ornery to everyone! and kind to those that I get the chance to show kindness. Call out the stupidity on my timeline and deal with what I can. I can't fix everything but I am not going to let slide what I can deal with. I can't rest on the laurels of my fathers and I am not going to bear their sins. I have my own. All any of us can do is deal with the next fucking minute.

AUG 10, 2018

Clark gave a rambling interview to a television reporter earlier this week, claiming to know nothing about how the fire started.

His Facebook page is littered with links to popular conspiracy theories involving the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, a mass shooting that left dozens dead in Las Vegas last year and "QAnon," whose followers believe a secretive government source nicknamed "Q" has been leaking information that proves President Trump's election was part of a broader effort to take down an international criminal cabal involving Hillary Clinton and others.

The movement, a cousin of the "Pizzagate" conspiracy theory that also made bizarre claims about prominent figures engaging in pedophilia, gained media attention in recent weeks after Trump supporters were seen holding "Q" signs at some of the president's recent rallies.

In postings published in mid-July, Clark also complained about a neighbor in Trabuco Canyon who he accused of using drugs and inviting gang members into the neighborhood. Clark also accused the man of stealing something from his cabin, according to the post.

After reviewing Clark's social media posts, Brian Levin, director of the Cal State San Bernardino Center on Hate and Extremism, said Clark appeared to be an "anti-government, anti-establishment conspiracy theorist."

He expressed specific concerns about Clark's adherence to conspiracies involving land use. The Cleveland National Forest is federal land, and cabins located in the area where Clark lived and the fire started are not supposed to be used as full-time residences.

The Holy fire started Monday near Trabuco Canyon and has grown over the last week to 18,137 acres.

More than 20,000 people have been placed under mandatory evacuations with several more under an evacuation warning. At least 12 structures have been destroyed. The fire is at 5% containment.

Some statistics of the terrorist threat of white people...

Prison:

In October 2013, the incarceration rate of the United States of America was the highest in the world, at 716 per 100,000 of the national population. While the United States represents about 4.4 percent of the world's population, it houses around 22 percent of the world's prisoners.

Police:

African-Americans died at the hands of police at a rate of 7.2 per million, while whites are killed at a rate of 2.9 per million.

To say that conservatives/ the right endorse such acts is insane.

They are cowardly acts of treachery by folks who suck at life so badly that they wish to impose their sucktitude upon others.

Yeah, maybe conservatives should do more to prevent the next attacks by calling out the trash that provokes these losers to violence.

Remember conservatives constantly bitching about normal Muslims not doing enough to prevent ISIS attacks?

THIS IS EXACTLY LIKE THAT

It’s not the attack, it’s what is fueling it that needs to be checked.

Why were we getting self radicalized ISIS fighters on US soil?

Because they were getting indoctrinated by online hate propaganda and ISIS YouTube videos.

So your solution is what?  the thought police?

The right already gets hammered for violation(?) of individual rights with surveillance and observation techniques.

How do we determine the harmful loonies from the innocuous ones?  Party affiliation?

Sigh, you don’t need a government solution.

The conservative leaders, oh wait, there are none...so never mind.

Well, if there were, they would call out the Soros bullshit, the caravan bullshit, the Alex Jones bullshit, Qanon bullshit, and Hannity bullshit.

They would do it every day on repeat... over and over again.

Make these fools pariahs so no one takes them seriously EVER.

How about just this: how about the leadership of the political right, including the most powerful man in the world, the President of the United States, not blow dog whistles at full volume 10X a day about how a few thousand Guatemalans are a terrorist rapist smallpox leprosy army coming to kill us all and THEY MUST BE STOPPED, and BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY?

Seriously, a discussion of immigration policy is one thing.  Saying "these folks can march all they want, but when they reach our border, they can't enter except as allowed by our laws, no exceptions" is one thing.

Characterizing them as an invading army -- which is a hyperbolic set of fighting words, and anyone with a lick of sense knows that -- is quite another.  Referring to some fucking Guatemalans as "invaders" who are going to murder us or kill us with smallpox...well, where does that get us?  Oh yeah, it gets us here:

Quote

“HIAS likes to bring invaders that kill our people. I can’t sit by and watch my people get slaughtered. Screw your optics. I’m going in.”

Come on, man.  It's "incite the rabble" 101.
