"Dark Sacred Night"'

I grabbed it yesterday at Costco, and finished last night.  It is a solid effort.  Not his best, not his worst.

Renee Ballard and Harry Bosch working together on an old murder

Solid one in the series.  The team of Ballard and Bosch can open up alot of interesting story lines.  I'm hoping that we see another Haller/Bosch tale.  This time, maybe get Ballard in there as well.

Got Nightshade from the library and liked it.  New lead character is a LA county sheriff's deputy in charge of the Catalina Island station.  No cars on the island so the cops patrol by boat and golf cart.  They mostly get stationed there after screwing up, so kind of a Slow Horses vibe.

Nice. I’ve almost finished “Ironwood”. It’ll be interesting to see if there’s a lot of filming in Avalon and the rest of the island. There will have to be, but they’ve been pretty strict in the past. But I think these books and this show will only boost tourism.

I blew through Ironwood the first day I downloaded it. I can't put his books down.

Just finished Ironwood. It was pretty good but the ending was a little abrupt. I agree that the books make me want to visit Catalina.
