Last March, police in Coralville, Iowa, investigated a bomb threat targeting a junior high school. Authorities brought in specially trained dogs to sniff for explosives and started looking into why someone might try to target the community’s teachers and students.

Law enforcement quickly determined that the threat was a hoax. Detective Hanna Dvorak from the Coralville Police Department arrived at a theory.

“It appears this all stems from a post made earlier this week by Chaya Raichik and her ‘Libs of TikTok’ account,” Dvorak wrote in a report to her superiors.

Raichik, 29, is not accused of making any bomb threats in Iowa or anywhere else. But about a day and a half before authorities responded to the threat at Coralville’s Northwest Junior High, Raichik posted that the school offers a “pornographic” book in its library that “teaches kids about gay sex.”

“These are the books they’re giving your kids to read in school,” she wrote on the social media platform X. People have frequently targeted the book in question, “This Book Is Gay,” a coming-out guide for LGBTQ teens, with book bans going back years.

The Coralville detective wrote in her report that one of Raichik’s supporters could have had a role in the bomb threat.

Coralville was not alone. Officers and government officials in four other jurisdictions — Burbank, California; Minnetonka, Minnesota; Oklahoma City; and Tualatin, Oregon — told NBC News they believe Raichik sparked threats in their localities with her posts on social media that digitally heckle people such as drag performers, LGBTQ teachers and doctors who treat transgender patients. The name "Libs of TikTok" is a reference to the people Raichik mocks on social media — "Libs" being short for "liberal."

While the direct inspirations for the threats are not known, the timing suggests that Libs of TikTok posts have been used to pick targets.

I say this as a Jew, but she makes me wonder if maybe Hitler had a point.

Ouch.

I don't see her so much as Jewish but instead as a member of some fanatical cult that I have trouble defining. You know, the nexus of Trump/Q/anti-LGBTQ/fascism/hate/anti-science. Are we even sure she's very religious? She certainly doesn't seem Orthodox - that's for sure.

She's Orthodox, which is basically just Evangelical Christian but with those side curls.

Shows you what I know. I thought their women had to wear drab old-timey clothes and shit.

"Stochastic terrorism" is a dumb phrase.  I imagine 90% or more of those who use it don't know what "stochastic" means.

Well....I'm pretty sure that it's worse than onanist terrorism, I tell you what.

Utah state school board member Natalie Cline is under fire after posting photos of a high school basketball player, questioning her gender and prompting threats against the girl. Cline, an elected member of the Utah State School Board, posted the photos Tuesday on Facebook, inciting a dogpile of comments identifying the girl, criticizing her appearance.

The girl is now under police protection, the Salt Lake Tribune reports, as Granite School District ramps up security at her school.

Yep, Paxton is trying to get medical records from other states to find out which kids from Texas went out of state for healthcare he doesn’t approve of.

Man, her response is a piece of work.

"Just shared an advertisement..."

"Never claimed the student was a boy"

No shit. You clearly implied it.

Then, this cunt comments on the poor girls "build" in her "apology" and then blames society without an ounce of dignity or self-awareness.

"Wasn't her intention" though this is not the first time an individual has received threats after her posts.

That fucking hag knew exactly what she was doing.  Crying about society and her curiosity is ridiculous.  Look, I have heard jokes about checking that other kids driver's license on baseball teams, but it is only a joke and it demonstrates respect for the kids prowess.  Usually the coach making that joke knows the kid.   It also overshadows how fucking stupid and low conscientious republicans, they don't know the actual numbers on transgender athletes, and think it must be in the 10s of thousands because of the right wing propaganda machine.    Nor do they even consider the fact that they could be wrong, or how offensive they really are.

If know I would acquit if the girl beat the hag with a baseball bat until the hag's IQ improved.

Wait, which girl in the photo linked above is supposedly too mannish?  Has someone never watched decent women's basketball?  Most of those gals could kick a lot of guys' ass without much effort.

I hate America.

One of the stupid fucking comments in that thread mentions something about the girl with pink shoes trying to pass as a boy, so I guess that one. I hesitate to even respond because the whole thing is so dumb and futile.

I really wish it were possible to educate or talk sense into people like them, but apparently, we can't. So our only choices are to ignore, mock, or throw rocks at them because we all live on the fucking playground again thanks to idiots like Trump and half of the Football board.

I hope that dumb bitch and her friends DO decide to do what they are threatening to do.

Watching her gasp her last, begging for a merciful end that will not be coming her way, is the way that it should end for all treasonous shitbags who take up arms against my country.

No, not now.  Lay there, and feel your life slip away....sacrificed on the altar of a false god who doesn't even know or care that you exist. You died...for nothing.

Y'all think I hate these people.  You are wrong.  It's much, much more than mere hatred.  It is always a joyous event when fascists die.

My brother has a business partner who knows about this guy and mentioned him awhile back about the dude being unhinged.  Brother is just North of Peoria.  But once you get south of Peoria down to the capital of Springfield...it gets real fucking weird.  Though different species of trees and accent, it reminds me a lot of far East Texas.  Lotta 'compounds' and Trump flags and more gun shows than dentists.  My brother loves to bow-hunt but doesn't like going to that area because even though he's very safe and careful, he just gets the feelings that if you encroach on just the fenceline of the wrong guy's land, he'll open fire and drag your body onto his land.

You take out Peoria and the immediate suburbs, which are fairly educated and affluent...the county way outkicked its coverage in Covid-19 deaths.  I'm guessing due to dipshits like this convincing their neighbors not to take precautions/get vaccinated.

I have a couple of uncles that defend their need for absurdly over the top weaponry as necessary "in case we need to overthrow the government".  What a bunch of stupid bullshit.  We crossed the rubicon decades ago on any sort of civilian uprising having any potential impact.  They would drone strike you in about five minutes by geolocating your Farmville logins.  The feds won't even need to access the tracking chips they implanted with the COVID vaccines.

This clip has probably been posted before, but it's spot on. Gold Jerry!

I know a dude from central Illinois who is one of the most racist people I've ever met.  It seems like outside of Chicagoland, the whole state is a GQP wasteland.
