Underrated burger?  Almost every Tex-Mex joint in town.  Many of them have outstanding burgers.  They also tend to make excellent gringo breakfast.

Man…when Joe’s Bakery took their burger and fries lunch plate off the menu, it was a human tragedy.

Love the Crown.

Can I say once again I used to get the Crown jalapeno cheeseburger basket with fries and a coke for $3.45?  As an engineer I split my time between there, and the Posse.  Pitchers at the Posse were $4.25 my freshman year.  Sometimes I hate progress.

Had Dirty's recently for the first time in a while. Burger is still great, but they've ruined the fried pickles. They used to have the absolutely perfect ratio of pickle to breading. You may as well just be eating a warm pickle slice now. Tragic.

Did anyone take over the recipes from Players? It was never in the running for best in Austin but sometimes you have an itch for their specific burger and fries combo.

Had Dirty's for lunch again today. Even better than the burger was driving back to work down Nueces, and seeing the eight block long line of freshmen girls doing the Rush week open house in just enough clothing to stay cool.

They should toast that bun.

It looks like me when I make my kids grilled cheese sandwiches and then get distracted.

It's just crispy! It tastes good!

I tried this recently and it's in the running for one of the best burgers in town right now. Just outstanding. Plus, I prefer waffle fries. Don't understandtheir business model at lunch on weekdays (basically dead). But I'll keep going.
