Trump still doesn’t have the balls to shut down the investigation.  If he did, he would have shut it down long before associates like Cohen had a chance to flip.

That ship has sailed. If he fires Mueller those files just get handed over to the FBI.

I had someone else say he was "forced to resign" but I'm not actually seeing that in print. Where does that idea come from, or is it just wishful thinking that this wasn't a planned resignation post-midterms?

Sessions letter says that he was forced.

"At your request I am submitting my resignation," Sessions wrote in a letter to White House chief of staff John Kelly.

Every Republican will be thrown under the bus like this. Cohen was. Comey was. Sessions is. The Mooch was. Sanders will be tossed under the bus some day too. His own sons will.

Why defend and protect him!! Ever.

He has zero loyalty. He's scum.

LOL.... What a total coward.  Literally a guy who's platform was a TV how where he played a tough guy telling people to their face, "Your fired", in scripted TV, can't find his balls to fire someone to their face.  Shit, can't even do it on the phone.  Lol.  Just a cunt.  Hilarious.

I"m sure Lindsay's gonna get right on this.... Gonna give Trump a tongue lashing.

The Keebler Klansman is headed back to Alabama to challenge Doug Jones.

But now he’s going to be a Trump Enemy.

He’ll have to cuck himself like Ted Cruz and fellate the orange cock to win over voters here after being emasculated by Trump for two years.

I think he’ll be done with politics and go get that bread on K Street.

Jeff Sessions come on down to testify before Congress.

In February 2019.  This will all be down the memory hole by then.

Apparantly a big technical q about whether Whitaker has even been properly "confirmed enough" for interim post.

He has been Senate confirmred for his prior post, but it is not clear that the prior confirmation is enough for interim AG position.

Who's going to stop him from taking the interim AG position?  Regardless of whether it violates the law for him to take it.

Exactly.

Shame on the GOP. These people have no respect for law and order. How could you vote for Trump. He's an insidious disgusting dictator.

Would every action taken be invalid? Should Rosenstein ignore orders? IDK, but Senate Rs aren't going to be happy about Sessions firing, so maybe they don't look the other way.

Sessions has always struck me as one of those old-school Southern lawyer types full of pride.   Trump has humiliated him numerous times in public already

He’s not going to let a Yankee liberal from New York City get the last laugh.

Oh yes, they will be quite upset. Their brows will furrow and everything.

I believe 'toss his salad' is the preferred nomenclature.
