It's not metallic reflective now. It was for a couple years in the Strong era. Now it's just the color of the jersey, which it should be. The chocolate brown helmet logos with the burnt orange jerseys always looked terrible to me. It wasn't any shade of orange, burnt or otherwise.

Woe, your right.

You think this would've gotten a knee pad penalty?

Our current uniforms are ass my dude. Minus the "100" on the helmet, this should be our full-time look IMO (can you imagine the stormtroopers with this set-up?).

So much cleaner. And actually representative of a blue blood program. Unlike our current clusterfuck.

Tangentially uniform-related because it explains their odd highlighter-green alternates - USF just rebranded the academic side of the school and it looks much better than their current athletics logo + visual system

TIL: USF is Merrill Lynch now.

Texas' uniforms have pretty much remained the same for the last few decades (not a bad thing at all) so let's just point a finger at the oldest version of the more boring jersey.

Suck it

I personally would have gone with the 1968 throwbacks from 2015 that had the "100" footballs on the helmets (yes I know why we did it and the history but standing on its own it just objectively looks bad). And I wouldn't have been surprised if the article had gone with the gold-accented ones from I want to say the 2013 OU game, although I actually thought those were fine.

Even with the big caveat of nothing to choose from, the fact that they even mentioned the icy whites as bad is fucking criminal.

They didn't even say it was bad, they said it was the worst we had worn since 2000. That's what was promised, the worst uniform worn by each team. So yeah it was pretty much a choice between home, away, and I think 4 very slightly different alternates (1968 throwbacks, home and away with gold accents for those two OU games, and the ones with "DKR" on the logos).

I believe those are throwbacks to the 1976 SWC year.

I remember back when folks would place "bumper stickers" all across the back end of a car, & you'd see that UH logo...

CBS meeting minutes:

Suit 1 - We need to drive more traffic to our CFB pages.  Our viewership is in the toilet. No one outside the SEC reads our shit, and half those fucks don't have internet.

Beanie 1 - Well, sir, we've looked at the charts and metrics. The Texum Bulldog readership is off the charts.  Let's do a site dedicated to them.

Suit 2 - Wait - who the fuck is that?  Those nut-squeezing dudes in Nazi uniforms?  We can't do that.  CBS can't go full gay bondage porn.

Suit 1 - I know, let's do a uniform eval thing!

Suit 2 - Wait, hasn't that been done?  Isn't there a guy at ESPN who's done that for years?  Isn't that a blatant ripoff?

Suit 1 - Have you seen our site before?

Suit 2 - Fair point.

All very deserving of recognition, but man our helmets are halfway to Ohio State at this point:

What the hell is a “Cobra Strike?”

Is that supposed to be a position group thing that’s removed before games?

I prefer Nike for a multitude of reasons, but I feel like if we had gone with Under Armour we would have uniforms that everyone would like. I’m basing that solely off the fact they fixed UCLA’s, didn’t screw up Wisconsin, does well with Auburn, and aside from the once a year alternate the school approves, has done well with ND.

Oh well. We’ve seen Nike can make the good stuff like from the 2015 KU game. Maybe again. I know Tom likes having “TEXAS” across the chest and has said as much.
