There's just something a little off about these uniforms. I think it's that the colors are too vibrant, like when you walk into an electronics store and they make the TVs too bright.

You might even say the Chargers colors are "electric"?

Damn I had no idea. Why did all these Florida schools replace their cool unique mascots with lame basic shit? UCF Citronauts to Knights. FIU Sunblazers to Panthers. So dumb.

If UCF were still the Florida Tech Citronauts, that would sound so much cooler

See the DT Enshittening thread. Focused grouped to the lowest common denominator (18-25 men). You’ll always land on something “badass” but really just bland and dumb.

At least Panthers are connected to Florida. Golden Knights is one of the least interesting and relevant school/mascot combos we have.

Good Lord......those stupid Oklahoma State uniforms.....can we please stop trying to look pretty and actually focus on winning a damned conference game???

University kid football is getting ridiculous.

Given that they're throwbacks to 1909, the originators of those uniforms are definitely not kids anymore

BAHAHA - those look nothing like the originals.  Three orange shoulder stripes and three orange sock stripes would have looked so much better than whatever the hell that uniform is.  But I guess when you lose to Baylor you have to take your lashes.

Love the helmet. Not sure about the stripes. The video had better images. Article says the stripes were because of the Tigers mascot we had at the time, but there were lots of teams with stripes back then, not sure there's really a connection. Not that anyone but a masochist like me will be watching anyway.

They pretty clearly just did a half-assed attempt at a throwback, when all they're doing is wearing their regular uniforms over special socks and undershirt.  I'm actually not even sure this counts for "half-assed":

Nope, the "throwbacks" are still half-assed and lame. Princeton wannabes?

Mittens beat me to it.  Those are badass lids for the Zoomie matchup.

The skull & crossbones flag was a bit of a lost banner to days past when it was rediscovered "in storage" on post in the late 90's.

Reminds of Demarvion Overshown with all those arm bands he used to wear.

Yet again, the "look at me, look at me" approach from lesser known schools. I guess this is the attention they want? This is your best look, why stray away from it for all the hot garbage y'all roll out there? Modern version and throwback version.

I mean, I agree, I'd make this our permanent look (although the Dez era helmet is better now because it's not bevelled and our current units look like the Barry Sanders throwback). But lets not pretend this is limited to "lesser known schools," bluebloods are doing it too. Ohio State and Notre Dame come to mind.

OU usually does an alternate every season as well, though it's usually pretty restrained.

I sometimes wish the conferences/NCAA would come out with a rule for uniforms:

1. Uniforms must be coordinated in the published colors the university has submitted as their official colors.

2. Color tops at home. White tops away (LSU is grandfathered in)

3. official school logo must be on the uniform somewhere.

4. Schools are allowed two logos. One primary, one alternate

5. Schools are allowed three uniforms for the season. Home, away, one alternate.

these reams that play dress up weekly is diabolical.

I can't remember ever seeing a service academy's opponent try to go 'military' in their look for their game against said service academy.  Odd.

I don't hate the helmet, though.

Wish UTEP would just go back to the Texas Western colors, half the stadium (which is 3000 people) wears the stuff anyways. How many people like the puke yellow and moden "UTEP" logo?
