If Amy Adams had any brain cells at all, she would give the Texans some modified rights, like to the full color scheme but not the Oilers logo, in exchange for royalties on gear sales.  That way she could double dip on both Texans and Titans profiteering.

I know, I will get flamed for not just purely bad-mouthing her because everyone on here hates the Adams family, but that decision seems good from both a business and a PR standpoint.

ONLY because it is page 100... old man rant time...

So, all of these schools who issue press releases about, "hey! Look at us! Look at us! Look at our new play clothes! Aren't we so cool? We are like runway models! Look how hipster we are!  New colors! ... blah blah blah..."

Dancin' around like a bunch of Kansas City faggots! (NO, CR... Blazing Saddles).

These are work clothes dammit!  Honor your school's history! Honor the Legends who went before you!

Instead of bastardizing their memory through a bunch of froo-froo costumes!

Work clothes dammit!

OH... Obligatory OU sucks.

Continue.

Mad boomer energy here. I don't like much of the modern stuff because it objectively look dumb. "Work clothes" is such a cheesy concept. It's still a game being played for its entertainment value for people getting wasted in the stands, parking lot, or on their couch. I just think there is a lot of ugly shit being worn these days.

Texas Tech Football Unveils New Uniforms With Patrick Mahomes’ Logo

Now with MOAR "smokey grey". We just can't get enough of it.

It’s flabbergasting that schools with such a good base template for uniforms would rather fuck around with unremarkable looks instead of establishing a “brand”/recognizable look. Their unbeveled Tt and with black helmets and black shirts is a fantastic look.

Agreed

I like their old school, red jerseys with black hats too. The beveled logos need to die.

Maybe something like this without a dumb, over-designed number font?

The Cowboys wouldn't allow for stars on the sleeves, but not a bad concept overall. #LuvYaBlue

New Uniforms Concept : r/Texans

Putting H-Town on anything is stupid. What really needs to happen is for the Adams family to have some bizarre succession crisis until the team lands with someone who will sell the branding back to the franchise.  In a vacuum this looks great but it also hurts too much that it isn’t the Oilers.

Texas Tech Throwback Uniform — UNISWAG

Dad is a Tech grad and I remember when mom got him the beveled Tt logo to replace the old one on his truck.  I thought it looked like garbage then.

The above look is their best but the red and black from the late Spike era is also great. Tech has the colors and branding there to have a fantastic look.

This logo was perfect for the team and school:

Agreed

Abbreviations and airport codes always look half-assed. NFL teams shouldn't have any wordmark on their jerseys.

Agreed. Whom ever is consulting Texas Tech on their branding is failing miserably.

I give the Texans the benefit of the doubt that it’s a long game play. Adams family won’t give up Oilers name/logo/colors, and threatens legal action against any Houston team (including UH and Rice) using any similar color scheme. Texans tried to get an “H-town Blue” colored jersey and helmet approved, and apparently the Titans had veto power. So Houston used it as an accent color in a color rush uniform they are marketing the shit out of to establish it as one of their official colors, so they can hopefully make it a primary uniform color in a couple years. Silly and stupid it has to work that way. The Adams family is still so bitter they revel in trolling millions of football fans in the city of Houston, people who had no part in the decision to build Bud a new stadium or not.

This reminds me I need to schedule extra time to piss on Bud Adams' grave the next time I'm in the area.  Fuck that guy and fuck that whole family.  First for trading Moon in his prime, then for moving from Houston, then for insisting that that piece of shit Fisher draft Vince, knowing that that piece of shit was a vindictive piece of shit who was going to do his best to ruin the draft pick he never wanted.  And finally for having a family that would be so god damned vindictive.  Fuck him.

Goddamnit, when will oversided logos just fucking die already? I'm glad OSU killed off the oversized Pistol Pete face helmet on an orange chrome background, it was awful.

These throwback uniforms for Illinois are great. Flip on CBS if you haven't seen them

They look much better live, than in the photo posted above

Agreed. The helmets look much better in action. The striping could be better on the front but overall it's a nice look.

Flipped over to check them out. You're right. Much better live than those goofy pics.

I watched a video on how these were made. It'd from one guy in a very small town, and showed how he made the look and everything. It was a cool video.

I really like the helmet and jersey combo.

Script helmet and all black uniforms with no school colors - chasing every trend at once

When you have no real enviable traditions or style, you resort to Halloween costumes.

But, it's a great look for you, aggy!

The ags must be unfamiliar with the adage “dress for the job you want, not the job you have.” They desperately want to be thought of as a top brand/program in CFB, yet here they are abandoning their brand so they can dress like a run-of-the-mill Sun Belt team.

There's just something a little off about these uniforms. I think it's that the colors are too vibrant, like when you walk into an electronics store and they make the TVs too bright.

Couldn’t disagree more. Such a nice contrast to the dark shade madness of the late 90’s and todays all black and white craze.
