The first one that comes to mind for me is Stones, Honky Tonk Woma/County Honk( the original) 

 

same song, two very different treatments

Joe Jackson did a double live album, and I think he included three different versions of "Is She Really Going Out With Him?"

I think one was true to the record.  One was dreamy and jazzy and had some extended solos.  One of them was a cappella:

Not the same band or the same song but this thread reminded me of this unique situation.

When Massive Attack was recording Protection, Tricky was a member and was tasked with writing the verses for Karmacoma that he would sing.  He was also working on his first solo album at the time and had neglected to getting around to writing the lyrics for Karmacoma. So, he delivered lyrics he'd written for his solo album.  As a result, two very different songs share many of the same lyrics.

One of my favorite versions of that song was by the South Austin Jug Band from their live album a while back.  Wish I hadn't ruined that one.
