there’s another aussie league player trying to make the NFL.  valentine holmes, 6’1” 200# and an absolute freak, only 23 years old.  among others.  it looks like the league will start actively pursuing more international talent for more than just punting duties. it didn’t work with jarryd hayne but these guys are too talented in space with the ball in their hands for someone not to stick eventually.

I feel like they would have an easier time getting acclimated if they’d start at the college level like specialists do. First time playing a sport and you start against the best in the world?

I agree to an extent.  but certain things like fielding a punt and eluding the defense is something that these guys can do as well as NFL players.  all the nuances of scrimmage play would take years to master, sure.  but athletes are athletes.  it worked with bob hayes.

Sure, but a no pressure redshirt year would be invaluable

The NFL is copying the fucking NBA hoping to capitalizing on international markets which I like, I hope one day I can watch Chinese players suiting to play on the field. With that said, I dont like the idea of setting international teams overseas. That so un-NFL lol

Your handle makes more sense now.

Police will allege that Hayne bit a woman upon her vagina with such force that she required medical attention the next day. It’s alleged that Hayne met the woman on social media and took a cab to her house in the Hunter Valley, two hours north of Sydney. It’s alleged he asked the driver to wait, meter running, before going inside where he reportedly “tore off” the woman’s clothing and engaged in consensual sex which allegedly became non-consensual. Twenty minutes later he got back in the cab.

Probably a 69ers joke in here somewhere.

I've wondered for a long time why the NFL hasn't already tried to take advantage of the obvious talent in the Rugby and Aussie Football ranks. Makes sense.

aussie rules produces athletes more suited for basketball.  usually tall and wiry white guys with ball skills.  actually, thinking about it, that could work as well as anything for a tight end.  if they gained a bunch of weight and learned how to block.
