Big10 is a much better basketball conference. They've become what the ACC was in the 1980s, great hoops, bad football.

That... still describes the ACC.

The Big Ten is full of slow, plodding offenses ( save for Ohio St, Purdue, and Nebraska). Their defenses look good on paper because they know their fundamentals and can keep up with slower players. Once they play a team with a bunch of speed on offense, they’re usually exposed.

Nebraska rallies for 9-6 win at home as Michigan State's sputtering offense goes cold

Rutgers got robbed, QB made a first down , says something to the ref and gets a 15 yard penalty. Rutgers about to score and that's a deathblow to Mich State if they are down 14-7.

This is what happens when Texas is shitty for close to a decade.

While I wholeheartedly agree that the Big 10 is pedestrian at best this year, I think a couple of you are conveniently forgetting that Maryland is in the Big 10. Maybe tap the brakes just a little on the "we would dominate" narrative.

MSU is currently deadlocked with powerhouse Rutgers 7-7 late in the 3rd quarter. Yes, the same Rutgers who lost to Kansas by 41 points.

Same score...... 10 minutes left in 4th qtr

Weather looks ok....

The field goal is probably a deathblow.  Mich State offense is beyond terrible.

Lombardi coming into this game with a 44.5 completion percentage.  He makes that Kentucky QB look like Drew Brees.

only on the team due to name.

Just talked to My Michigan buddy about their poor Defensive showing, he acted like he had never seen a QB performance like the Suckeyes QB..... Said it was like watching Drew Brees again when he was at Purdue.

I laughed and said, "Damn Doug, watch a B12 game sometime".... Smh

Pretty sad when a punt is one of the more exciting plays in the game.

All of the conferences are shitty. There are a lot of mediocre football teams across the board this year.

For me, the B12 Games are much better in 2018 than B10.  All season long the pundits have stated that the B10 is the 2nd best Conference and it's a bunch of Crap.....

I read a lot of comments saying the B12 sucks, but for me the 2018 Season for the B12 has been great.  I've enjoyed watching Texas, BlowU, ISU, Tech, West Va, Okie Lite and even Baylor...... only TCU, KState and Kansas have been bad.

Agree with this. I‘d rather watch terrible defense than terrible offense. However, the terrible defense in the big 12 is hard to watch at times. It seems like a shallow cross is an automatic touchdown in this league.

How bad is it? Northwestern is in the championship game

Northwestern lost to Akron.  Akron went 4-7, 2-6 in the MAC.

Akron scored 36 points in the 2nd half against Northwestern.  That's the most they scored in an entire game all season.

They will say the same about us in the Big12 championship and Maryland.

I think the bowl season will sort this all out. I think the Pac 12 and Big 12 are about even, then the Big 10, then ACC, then AAC then the others.

Other than Ohio State, when was the last time a Big 10 member institution won an outright (not split) national championship in football?

Minnesota in 1960.
